Threats to Udyr with this build
|Hey Guys! I'm GoLéon and this is my first guide. I'm a Platin III Udyr Jungle Main with over 75 ranked games on him this Season and a 71% win rate.
I'm playing League since the start of Season 4 and since Season 5 I started to play Udyr and eventually main him. Currently I have around 230.000 mastery points on Udyr.
With the start of Season 6 I started to play ranked and went on a 24 game winnig streak.
After the Runic Echoes nerfs, i switched back to Devourer. With the nerfs on Udyr, the removal of Devourer and a relative weak replacement with Bloodrazor, Phoenix Udyr couldnt get nearly to the strenght he once was.
With the buffs to Cinderhulk a while back and the recent buffs to Phoenix active damage he is in a good spot again. Its time to bring him back on the Rift.

Runes and Masteries
|Attack Speed increases our clear speed because we get more third hit Phoenix Stance procs off. Also playing Udyr just feels way more smooth when played with Attack speed.|
|I like a bit of scaling health because you really wont get any HP from items, because your shield gives free HP.|
|Because Udyr scales so well with Flat Resistanceso scaling Armor is pretty nice. If you don't have them just go for Flat Armor.|
|We already reach the 40% CDR Cap with Frozen Heart and Trinity Force. You can go 9x Attack Speed Glyphs if you want, but i like to get some Magic Resistance.|
|I like some Attack Speed Glyphs boosting my damage output more. If you dont have them just go with 9x Scaling Magic Resistance.|
|Two MS Quints brings us to 355 at level one, which is the highest base Movement speed at level 1. So with Bear Stance activation you can catch up to everyone.|
|Attack speed is pretty nice[look above], so we will pick this up. You can slo go three Movementspeed Quints if you want. I prefer going for attack speed.|
Fury gives us AS for faster and smoother attacks and more Phoenix Stance procs. Just the best option here.
Both are viable choices, but I prefer Double Edged Sword just because im more about 1v1 people and this will increase my damage output. If you gank more/Teamfight more you can go with Expose Weakness .
Wanderer allows us to get from A to B fast. Savagery will help us in faster clears. I like to be fast on objectives on the other side of the map, so i'm going with Wanderer .
This is pretty much personal preference. Runic Affinity allows us to have longer buffs. Secret Stash will increase our potions, which is extremely good when going Hunter's Potion. Assassin will help us to outdamage out opponent in a 1v1 scenario. I prefer Secret Stash , because i like buying Hunter's Potion.
Recovery brings us more health regen, which is pretty nice after the regen nerfs a while ago and I prefer it over Unyielding , because it will only be really effective in the late game.
This is also personal preferance. I like Tough Skin more, because if i'm getting chased, the extra MS kicks in. I use every bush possible to get that boost and I will get out.
Tough Skin will be used more often, because you are fighting in the jungle and when ganking, some AA will be fired. I would switch to Tough Skin if they have alot of Auto Attackers. Combined with Tabi's, alot of the damage dealt will be tanked.
Runic Armor is after a few uses of Turtle Stance way more effective than Veteran's Scars . Also the lifesteal and health regen is getting a boost, which is pretty nice too.
I always was a fan of Insight . More Smite and Ghost/ Flash uses? Hell yeah.
The health regen boost from Perseverance is nice, but you won't really feel anything, because if the champ isn't under 25% of his health, half of the Mastery is wasted.
With Udyr's health regen nerfs, the other part from Perseverance is also less useful.
Swiftness is more than welcome, because Udyr does'nt have any gap closers. Less slows and CC is one of the best Masteries you can get on Udyr. Combined with Merc's, CC's duration is nearly halfed.
Keystone: Strength of the Ages
The last point goes into the Keystone Strength of the Ages , which is also pretty standard for a Jungler, because you stack it pretty fast and its free health.
