Welcome to my second guide, my Shen guide. My name is Karianox ingame, and I want to introduce you my way of playing Shen, because I see many Shen-Players failing at his equip, how to play him, etc.

My way of playing him may not be perfect, but I think Shen has sooo much ways of being played, and thats why Jungle-Offtank-Shen is viable.

I focus on tanking, dealing damage, asisting my team and interupting their carries with this guide, and i want to show you, how.

Pros:
- good and fast jungling (not Udyr, but it is quite good)
- can tank naturally many things, with items even more
- his Vorpal Blade deals good dmg and makes him a healthy jungler

Getting Started (Doing one jungle route, trying an early gank, get EXP and levels)

This should be self-explonaration. You can start with a Regrowth Pendant, too, but this items makes ganking easier and getting counter jungled harder.

Early Game Goal (Farming, First Ganks, Giving Blue Buffs to AP Carry)

Ninja Tabi/ Mercury Treads for mobility, to chase. Heart of Gold for better gold income and some early-game tankiness. Recurve Bow for better and faster jungling.

Mid Game Goal (Pushing, Interupting enemy's jungle, Beginning of Teamfights, Dragon, perhaps Baron)

OR

Wit's End for faster jungling (similar to most junglers Wriggles) Rylai's Crystal Scepter for (a little bit) more dmg output, a better shield (for you and your teammates). Randuin's Omen for Armor, Spirit Visage for Magic Resistance, depending on the enemy team, build both items anyway, if they have a balanced team.


End Game Goal (Game-changing Teamfights, Destroying Inhibitors, Baron, Backdoor)

Why not going Warmog's Armor, Force of Nature and Thornmail?

I won't ever go on a Warmog's Armor if i am jungling as Shen, because it is too expensive and you won't make so many kills. Also, if the enemies AD Carry is good, he will buy a Madred's Bloodrazor, so you will take even more dmg.

Force of Nature is actually a good item, but i would just take this if they have something like Nunu & Willump top and Cho'Gath in the jungle, but the chances of that are very low. Like Warmogs, its a good item, but it is so expensive, and as Shen you need to get as much items for low gold as fast, because you are good whole over the game and your Early Game is as important as your End Game.

Thornmail, like FoN, a very good item, but it makes you too bulky, and even though you can taunt, they wont focus you after that. However, it is kinda cheap, so if they got Xin Zhao top and Udyr in the jungle, you may buy this.
