  • LoL Champion: Nocturne
    My custom build

Introduction

Hi, and welcome to my Nocturne jungle guide. This guide will focus on being a bruiser or a tanky assassin. I will show tips on jungling, builds, and gameplay. I recommend you don't use the cheatsheet as it does not show all the items.

If you happen to find this build weird and not good, feel free to exit this build and find a new one.

The build you are looking at is NOT a lane nocturne(for some reason you want to lane) guide. So if this is the wrong type of lane your looking for, find a different one. As I am NOT gonna make a laning guide for nocturne.

These are my runes for jungling. The first one will give you some extra attack speed for charging up that passive. The second one will have less damage but is more tankier than the others. If you want to change the runes go ahead, no ones stopping you.

These are my skill sequence's the first one makes you max your e second for a longer fear. You may wonder why it says to max your w second on my custom build. This is because since there is no bonus attack speed to charge you passive you have the bonus attack speed from Shroud of Darkness. Second, you'll never know when you'll need your Shroud of Darkness again.

Spells

(Passive) Umbra blades: This is nocturne's passive abilitie. It allows him to deal a portion of damage to enemies surrounding him. This is a great jungle tool as how it allows nocturne to heal while still dealing damage. Remember since it scales off with ad it is useful for late-game action.
Tips and Tricks:
-Position yourself in the middle of enemies when Umbra Blades is ready. It will deal AOE around you making this clearing a jungle faster.
- Umbra Blades and any lifesteal items helps you heal fast after a fight. You can recover from 300 hp to full in about a 3 minutes.
- Umbra Blades and Duskbringer can help you push a lane instantly if used correctly.
- Umbra Blades and Ravenous Hydra(or really any AOE items) can be used really effectively to clear minions, as how they are both AOE.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
(Q) Duskbringer:
This is nocturne's first abilitie and is his only skillshot. It can be used to harrass enemies while escaping them with your bonus movement speed. Be careful of how you cast it though, since it takes a lot of mana early-game. Duskbringer also gives nocturne some attack damage, so since Umbra Blades scales with ad, shoot your Duskbringer first then, attack the enemies with Umbra Blades. Finally, when you hit a enemy with Duskbringer they'll leave a trail. This allows you to chase a enemie with ease or know where they went as how you can still see the trail in the fog of war.
Tips and Tricks:
-You can easily tell if you hit someone if theres a random moving trail OR if you hear a somewhat of a *thonk* sound.
- Duskbringer can save your life with the bonus movement speed.
-It is possible to make a juke with Duskbringer. When in a brush and being chased, shoot Duskbringer somewhere that your not going and go the other way. Sometimes enemies will follow the trail due to how people use the bonus movement speed to run away.
- Duskbringer acts like Ghost meaning you can go flash or exhaust without ghost to escape.
-Since nocturne's passive scales with ad cast Duskbringer first then attack with Umbra Blades
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
(W) Shroud of darkness:Much like Sivir's Spell Shield this blocks one abilitie that hits nocturne when casted. This is really helpful when fighting a burst like Nidalee's javelin toss/takedown or save delayed skills like Ace in the Hole or Requiem. Remember since it gives bonus attack speed you can use it aggressively against enemies, to recharge Umbra Blades

Aftermath (blocked skill):

Tips and Tricks:
-Blocking a skill gives you bonus attack speed allowing you to break down towers faster.
-Sometimes it is smart to get hit by a weaker abilitie and saving it for later, as how it has a high cooldown at low levels.
- Shroud of Darkness is easiest to use on abilities that have to travel like Ezreal's Mystic Shot or even nocturne's Duskbringer
- Shroud of Darkness can be used to clear traps as how it destroys it without having the damage effect. Like Bushwhack / Pounce, Yordle Snap Trap or Teemo's Noxious Trap
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
(E) Unspeakable Horror: This is nocturne's only ap spell. Even if it scales off 100% ap it is not worth building since it has a long cooldown. It is also nocturne's only hard CC, but can be easily avoided. It is a really good spell for ganking, you can also use this abilitie defensively when being chased.

Aftermath (Fear):

Tips and Tricks
-Using this abilitie can cancel a spell like Karthus's Requiem which can save a ally from dieing.
-Fearing a buff will allow you to take less damage, although baron and dragon are not effected from the fear.
-Use Duskbringer's bonus movement speed if a enemy is trying to escape the chain from Unspeakable Horror.
___________________________________________________________________________________________________
(R) Paranoia: Paranoia is nocturne's ultimate and his most epic spell. When the enemies hear the words: DARKNESSS~ they'll run like sh*t back to the fog of war. Make your teams get vision of the enemie to jump to them for a easy gank. It has low range early-game but once you hit 16 you should be able to dash from your fountain, to the exit of the base (ya, I know the range is low now, but hey the range of it was about global when he first got released!). Paranoia does not reveal all the enemies like Destiny so be careful how you cast it.

Follow up:

Tips and tricks:
-It is more smart to go into a gank normally and then use Paranoia to chase, but remember to use Paranoia for ganks when laning phrase is still on as how it is most likely warded.
-When being chased and there is multiple low health enemies, cast Paranoia and dash to them this can result in a escape, or a double.
-Taking Clairvoyance on nocturne can be helpful when losing the sight of a enemie for your ult.
