Introduction

Hello, I'm Interitus and I recently made this Wukong Guide.

Currently I'm sitting on Platinum 5, I've been playing the game
for almost 2 years, my first season was Season 3. I hope you enjoy
the read, give me feedback I appreciate it a lot, I'll be updating
this often, as Items come and go.

Enjoy your read!

Runes

Runes

Precision
Fleet Footwork
Phase Rush

These are the standard ones. It usually does the job with almost any AD champion, unfortunately top lane meta shifted to heavy tanks like and flat AD runes aren't that useful against them, so you should always have a second page running Armor Penetration Quints if you're against a for example.

Pros / Cons

+ Good early and late game
+ Insane poke
+ Great teamfighter
+ Low cooldowns

- Mana problems early on
- Unreliable escape
- Only escape countered by Pinks or Sweeper

As you can see, has more Pros than Cons, and most of the Cons aren't that bad.
As long as you can manage to deal with them, they'll be almost non existent.

Items

has many ways to be built, I don't like to play as a Wukong tank, there are simply better champions as a tank, for example , , . So the way I'm teaching you is Off tank, he's still durable while dealing Tons of Damage, I'll show you which Items I pick and the reason why.

Please, get this everytime your pink gets taken down. There's no reason for not picking it up, it's probably the most cost efficient item in the game.
It doesn't matter if you're , , or even , get a pink ward and save a life.

I usually pick long sword in 99% of my games, gives me damage and a lot of sustain(Three HP pots). It also builds into Brutalizer or Tiamat, which are both Core Items for .

Brutalizer gives you a HUGE amount of damage if you pick it early, which is almost guaranteed if you get First Blood. DO NOT rush Black cleaver, ever. Pick it, and just let it be there for a while.

Wukong has literally 0 Waveclearing, Tiamat gives you damage, waveclear and an AA reset, which makes it three because your Q and E reset your animation.

I can't stress enough how good this Item is on Wukong, you basically shred everyone's armor with your ultimate, Black cleaver's passive reduces 5% armor of an enemy if you deal Physical damage, Wukong ultimate deals Physical damage for 4 seconds. This item is CORE on Wukong, always build it.

Unless you don't care about dying, then you gotta take some tank Items, randuin's provides you good stats, and decreases enemies AS every time they hit you. They're all going to hit since you're going to be in the middle of them wrecking everyone.

You need MR, Wukong is easily taken down by mages such as , , . Imagine katarina without her Q, if you're banshee's blocks her Q she lost a lot of damage, take advantage of that. It also provides you MR and HP which is really good overall.

Tips n' Tricks

1. This one is a fairly known one, but it's easy to trick people with it:

Sorry for my Paint skills

You're the white line
The enemy is the red line

Basically, the enemy is chasing you so you press S to fake your decoy, they'll keep moving forward which lets you get closer to your turret without taking any damage, E to them and then use your decoy and keep running to your turret, they wont be able to stop you.

Auto Attack animation cancel

This works for many other champions, Wukong has 2 abilities which cancel his AA animation.
Usually you should hit once, Press E right after, hit again and then Q after. E and Q cancel your normal auto attack animation, which makes your damage output higher.
Tiamat doesn't cancel your AA animation, but makes you deal damage between your AA, it's still useful.

Skill Sequence

I usually Max Nimbus strike first because it has a huge base damage, while it is really good, against tanks it's not as effective.

The base damage per level of Crushing blow is really low, unless you're against someone stacking armor, you shouldn't max this.

Do not max this, this is basically a one point wonder ability. There's no reason to max this, it does it job at level 1 as good as it does at level 5.

Use one point at 6, 11, 16. This is the strongest wukong ability, it's what makes wukong a beast of a teamfighter. Use it wisely, this can basically change the teamfight completely. The more enemies you hit, the more crucial your ability becomes.

Combo

Your combo depends on the circumstances, for example:

Against a melee that's fighting you back: You AA once and Press Q right after the damage is dealt then another AA and right after your E, since your Q reduced their armor you're E is going to deal more damage, it also boosts your AS so you take more advantage of the armor Shred.

Against a ranged that's kiting you: Press Q and then E, your Q will come right after your E, since you didn't Q first you wont deal as much damage, but you must stick to them, for example vayne will kite you to death, always use your E if available, doesn't matter if your Q is up or not.

When fighting against someone that's fighting you back: Press Q, AA, E, AA then after 2 seconds of AA'ing him with your AS boost, Decoy and use the full decoy time. When it ends you'll already have your 2 spells back so you can use your combo again. After this they will probably be dead.

Team Work

There are many champions that work well with Wukong, I'll list my favorite ones.

Zilean is really good with wukong, basically you decoy, zilean speeds you up and there's no way that the enemies are running away from you.

Amumu is a great teamfighter, and so is Wukong. Amumu engages and you just have to follow up, they'll be all stunned and you'll most likely hit the 4 seconds of your ultimate on them.

Same as zilean, speeds you up and then you have 2 knock ups, also makes you tankier which is always appreciable.

Do I really need to explain this one? Wukong gives the opportunity for Yasuo to ult. It also grants you a full cast of your ultimate on them.
