Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Hello my fellow companions. I'd like to apologize for my bad english, it's because I'm not from an english speaker country.
This is my first guide, so I would very much like to receive your comments, so I can improve it!
Share your knowledge with us, maybe I can put it in the guide!
Pros / Cons
- Good harass early game using Nimbus Strike
- Awesome chaser
- Very nice tricks with Decoy
- Good damage the whole game
- Late game gets tanky
- Squishy early game
- If you try and fail to trick your enemies with S, you're dead
- Not that good when soloing against 2
I think it's vital to Wukong to get Greater Quintessence of Vigor. It's really great early game because you don't get any potion when gettin Doran's Shield, so you need a little health regen bonus.
For marks, I get Greater Mark of Desolation. I was kinda wondering if it's really good to take it. Before I finished this build, I used to make Last Whisper. When I stopped building it, I really missed the armor penetration, so I got the marks.
For glyphs I get Greater Glyph of Attack Speed. Goku's... ooops, Wukong's attack speed is a really flawly point, so I get these to improve it a little.
And, last but not least, for seals I get Greater Seal of Armor or Greater Seal of Magic Resist because I need my monkey to be a bit tanky. It's your choice.
I, basically, get 0/9/21, because I think Wukong is the most tanky DPS in the game, so I try to tanky him as much as I can. And the 21 at Utilities gives me a cooldown reduction that helps a lot! Nothing to talk about in this section, actually.
Well, here is the deal, I'm not gonna explain every summoner spell right here, only the spells I think are worth explaining.
This is the most OP skill in the whole game. Seriously, it is useful with almost ANY champion in the game. Except maybe for Tristana, but whatever. I get it because it's good to chase, it's good to run, it's useful while comboing with Decoy as a running tool, it's just awesome.
Many people disagree about getting Ghost and Flash, but I really like using ghost to maximize my chasing power. And running-for-my-life power also.
Very useful spell early game. I don't really remember using it late game, so it gets useless. But, to early game kills, it's an awesome help.
Same as Exhaust. Except that it doesn't work that well to run, but it works a little better to kill. It's not an useful choice, in my opinion.
Skills and Combos
Crushing Blowis a really nice skill. When you trigger it, your next hit will deal additional physical damage and lower your target's armor for 3 seconds. It resets your autoattack's timer, so use it wisely.
Nimbus Strikeis a dashing damage dealer skill. It's very nice to chase due it's low cooldown. It strikes your target plus two enemies near it. You can use it if someone is running and is out of your Nimbus Strike range. You can use the skill on some enemy near the running chicken champion and kill him. The ideal combo to use this skill is this: Nimbus Strike your target, then autoattack him once and trigger Crushing Blow. Since it resets the autoattack's timer, you will strike the target imediatelly.
Cycloneis a very nice ultimate. I mainly use it to setup to my team mates. It knockbacks whoever it hits to the air, dealing a really really nice damage per second. But it only knockbacks once per skill use. It's a really good initiation to ganks. Nimbus Strike, Autoattack, Crushing Blow, Cyclone, then repeat the basic combo until you kill your target.
And here we go. This is, by far, the most amazing tool that Wukong got. You can trick your opponents, you can run away, you can surprise in ganks, you can do pretty much anything.
To begin, the best way to early game harass is using Nimbus Strike and then imediatelly Decoy. Try to use Nimbus Strike while the enemies are next to minions. This way, you hit minions, getting the chance to kill them and get some extra gold, and when you use Decoy, they'll be a little confused and may use their skills on your clone. It's really satisfying to see a Mordekaiser using his Children of the Grave and Ignite on your clone. Even if you don't win the game, it's certain that you'll laugh a lot.
Something else you can do is this. RUN LIKE A PIG THAT'S DYING. Seriously, this is the BEST running tool EVER. You can run WITHOUT USING IT! It's just AWESOME. Run like hell and, when you feel that it's the right time, just press S. THEY WILL BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK. Seriously, that's just awesome. It fills my eyes with tears everytime I do this. Then, when they think you used Decoy and you didn't, you can just /dance or something. Maybe swear at them a little, it's a nice mindgame. Seriously, this skill is just... perfect.
You can also build an AP Wukong and kill them all using the Decoy's damage... actually, you can not, so don't try, it sucks.
Well, this was my guide. I hope you guys like it, I really put some effort on it. Wukong is an awesome infernape. I really like him a lot. If you ever like to play or need some help, seek me at the game, my nickname is YuukiXD.
I hope to get your comments and rating! See yah folks. Kisses in the heart.
