One of the best since akali at 6 > Squishes die... I see alot of champions missing, so im gonna list them all out (beside akali). Talon, Zilen, Orinna, Soraka, and finally cho gath. I think im missing a few but i know those you should add :3 Akali is also one I forgot; don't see her that often as well. Talon is not exactly a mid champion, mostly a counter. Never laned against him so I won't be able to say much. (played 300+ games with Xerath and never laned against a talon XD). Zilean and Orianna are good suggestions, Soraka and Cho are never played mid as well. And imo Xerath is quite nice against Kassa, since oyu will force him out pre6 very hard. If he silences you with Null Sphere you can simply dash towards him and hit him with common attacks and when you are de-silenced you apply Mage Chains and hit him with your Arcanopulse and apply some more autoattacks. after 6 you can basically do the same but he can close up to you which makes him dangerous then, but i always feel that it is very balanced then.
