@psiguard - the AP seals were exactly what i was talking about =P
@soelra - I re-read my earlier comment and i think i came across kind of harsh. To be honest this is, in my opinion, the best xerath guide i've seen so far (besides my own of course xD). It could definitely still use some work (formatting in particular), but you've got a good thing going.

+1 for getting rid of the green & yellow section.

Thank you PsiGuard and TigerJesus for leaving "constructive" criticism and telling me how I can make the guide better and not doing what dawnofwar has done and just pointed out things which are explained in the guide leaving nothing that i can actually use to improve the guide and then downvoting. I will take your suggestions into account and try and improve the guide. Thank you.

Looks like a better foundation for a Xerath guide than some others I've seen. Your build doesn't do anything too ridiculous (though I think sorc shoes might be in order) and the guide is okay so far. No vote from me either way.

I don't know what TigerJesus is talking about with the secondary runes. Your rune selections (and alternatives) are completely fine.

EDIT: I would probably swap Greater Seal of Ability Power for Greater Seal of Replenishment in the core build though. You're going to want that mana regen in the early levels before blue, as well as the downtime between buffs. Flat AP seals are usually only used on manaless AP champions like Akali and Katarina.

Lowers the CD for locus of power. Also. Stop downvoting other xerath guides to make yours appear better.

Saikomachi actually upvoted my Xerath guide found here. And he gives valid reasons as to downvoting other guides. Maybe you shouldn't be so defensive of your own guide and learn to take constructive criticisms.

Now, onto this guide. I'm not going to downvote as of yet, just make some suggestions. First, Secondary Runes are a big no-no. Second, your color scheme is horrid. it looks like someone puked on your guide.
There are a few other small things I don't quite agree with but I suppose they're somewhat personal preference. Overall though, not a bad build. I can tell you put more effort into it than most of the rushed Xerath builds on here.

P.S. I'd appreciate it if you'd comment/vote on my build as well.

CDR = fail
Mana Sustain = fail
Too much text = fail
Begging others to not downvote it because they dislike an item = desperately fail

If you find you are having mana problems try these things 1. Change your seals to mana regen 2. Ask your jungler for blue buff 3. Use your spells more wisely and don't waste your mana

Thinking about what you said i may put into the suggested items an early catalyst after Rabadon's Deathcap or Ionian Boots of Lucidity. This way you can have more sustain in lane and your mana should be better.

Please take these suggestions and try the build again and see what you find and let me know how you do.

Champs been out for less than a month, doubt anyone can call their guide "in depth"

CDR boots are bad. The %Pen from his locus isn't enough to warrant using Lucidity over Sorc. Why get Banshee's? I understand the whole 45 second CD, but honestly you need a "situational items" section.

The fact that you suggest both Zonyas and Deathcap leads me to believe you expect a game to last 45 minutes+

Overall you've got information, but I can't willingly suggest this guide has anything of use that other guides won't. It's a standard guide, I'd like to see more in tips and tricks other than explaining that Xerath has range which means you can do baron out behind baron's spawn.

Did you try the build or just downvote because you didn't like the look of it?. At least milomilo tried the build and says he has problems. I'm starting to get sick of people not actually reading even a small ammount of the guide and then leaving a negative comment about something clearly covered in the guide. Don't downvote without trying it because you really don't support mobafire if that is what you do on it.

Imo take snakeman830's comment and put it into the guide, it will make people stop crying about the Cdr boots. I like the guide, but i rather boots plus 3 pots start instead of the dorians, gives you alot more sub stain in the lane, and since you run full ap ruins, you wont be missing out on that much dmg early game. anyways, good guide

Hmm I'll stick boots in as another viable item stupid of me not to add it in myself. As for snakeman830's comment i don't have the exact maths in my guide, but my reasoning is there. If you look at the age of mw2fe's account he made it today so hes just down voting me probably because he has a Xerath guide of his own. Thanks for your suggested item however as that will make the guide better =D.
