Xin Zhao Build
Not Updated For Current Season
Xin Zhao is one of the most capable melee characters in the game. Early game, few characters are as capable of setting up ganks and dealing quick damage. Late game, Xin can carry your whole team on his broad, Asian shoulders. In between, you'll be having all sorts of fun bringing devastation to your enemies. Any fed character can completely dominate, but Xin (especially with this build) makes it quite easy to be fed if you keep your wits about you and start munching on the noobs.
Tireless Warrior (passive):
Xin Zhao will passively regenerate 30 health every 3 hit, the amount increases by 5 every 2 level.
Three Talon Strike:
it is a attack combo which will cause the next 3 auto hits to do more damage, and the third attack will cause the target to be knocked into the air.
damage done: 15/30/45/60/75 ofcourse + the normal dmg of xin zhao
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 sec
it will increase your attack speed passively but can be used in special occasions to dobbel the amount (the passive wont be up while the ability is on cooldown).
Attack speed: 15/20/25/30/35% attack speed
Cooldown: 24/22/20/18/16 sec
Xin Zhao will Charge and enemy, all enemies around the chosen target will be damaged for a curtain amount and be slowed.
Slow: 20/25/30/35/40 %slowed.
Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10 sec
Xin Zhao sweeps his spear around him, dealing damage to all nearby enemies, a base amount of damage +20% damage based on their current health and will grant him some armor and magic resistance for a short time.
% damage: 20%.
bonus damage: 125/250/375 bonus damage.
resistances: 30/40/50 armor and magic resistance.
Cooldown: 75 sec
Tips and Tricks
you'll be spending most of your early game in a lane so here's some tricks to utilize your abilities to it's fullest.
You should be duo laning so pick a target to harass together with. the enemy will always want to stay in exp range so try to find times when they are to close to the creep or you to charge in and smash him with 3 talons.
last hitting is important, you should never auto-attack continuesly and push your lane. it makes killing your enemy much harder, and xin is all about early game kills.
Brush is your friend, nothing makes me **** myself more then a xin charging out of no were and raping half my life in 2 seconds. having your partner in thier makes this a pretty much guranteed kill. you'll have your enemy zoned in no time if they don't want to mess with you.
Unless your clearly outmatched, you and a partner can actually turn around jungle ganks and kill the jungler with your massive early game damage and knock up, i cant count how many times me and my lane mate see thier half health enemy run at us while the enemy jungler runs at us from behind. only to turn around, smash the jungler and then pick up that other guy who thought this gank would work.
Only use your charge for gap closing at max distance. if he's close enough to 3 talon without it, do it. after the knock up ends, then use charge to slow his escape afterwards, alos doing this will let you charge him if he desides to flash.
Your ult should be used anychance you can in a fight. even if its 1v1 2v2 or 5v5. the damage is insane when opened with and the armor and magic resist you get from it helps you surive longer too. charging in and opening with your ult during a coordinated gank will pretty much secure a kill as well.
Use Battle cry when farming alone if your ult is on CD. you'll pretty much have your ult back after using it in no time at all.
Masteries are also fairly simple. Max out offense to maximize your damage output, and get a small amount of utility to increase regen and exp. gain. You could use the defense in place of utilities if you feel its necessary, since this is a tanky dps build, but i prefer utility for the extra gold and exp.
My skill sequence is somewhat different than other peoples. Alot of people like to get three talon strike first, but in most cases at lvl 1 you dont even have enough time to get 3 hits in on people to knock them up before they are at the tower. Thats why i get adacious charge, it deals quick damage and slows, which makes for a better combo at lvl 2 with three talon strike. The slow is simple more effective at lvl 1 than three talon strike. And it doesnt take long to get to lvl 2. Battle cry is 3rd on the list to increase your attack speed and decrease your cooldowns on your bursts. Crescent sweep should have a point put into it everytime its available, just like any other ult.
Xin zhao is a hard hitter, and good initiator BUT do not try to dive in without the tank being there first. You will usually die. He is an incredible 1v1 champ especially when exhaust is utilized correctly. Also, take advantage of how hard he hits in early game lanes and get some easy kills, play aggresive but smart, and i can guarentee a good carry. Like i said in the intro, check out my match history (Iscariot5), if i knew how to put it on here, i would.
