Xin Zhao Build

The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
So this is my Xin Zhao. I know many people have been going a tank/jungle style build with him, but I find laneing with him leads to easy kills. So if you are looking for a tank or jungle build, you will not find it here.
Now, for his abilities.
Three Talon Strike: Xin Zhaoâ��s next 3 standard attacks deal increased damage, with the third attack knocking an opponent into the air.
This right here helps get kills early in the game. Pair this ability with a lane partner's stun/cc ability and someones going to die.
Battle Cry: Xin Zhao passively increases his attack speed and can activate this ability to further increase attack speed and lower his ability cooldowns with each attack.
The attack speed on this ability is awesome. When you activate this ability, it gives you double the attack speed of the passive side of it. I love going to take down a tower, pop this ability and the ghostblade, and watch the tower quickly fall. I recommend when going into a team fight, to use this after charging in to reduce cooldowns and the opponents health dramatically.
Audacious Charge: Xin Zhao charges an enemy, dealing damage and slowing it and all other enemies in the area. Audacious Charge increases Xinâ��Zhaoâ��s armor temporarily and lowers the cooldowns of all of his abilities.
A great tool to initiate a fight, chase someone down, or kill a wave of creeps. The slow on this ability is an area of effect, so the other champions around where you charged will be slowed as well.
Crescent Sweep (Ultimate): Xin Zhao fiercely sweeps his spear around him, dealing damage to nearby enemies based on their current health.
Your team about to ambush theirs? This ability makes it an almost sure win. (NOTE: I said 'Almost'. People are bad. Don't always go into a fight assuming because you are ambushing them that you will win.) The best time to use this ability is when the fight is initiated, and there's at least two people within range. of course, if you just want to take the kills and risk not winning the team fight, you could wait till they are lower health and use it then. Besides the 25% of their current health damage, there is a static amount as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND USING THIS ABILITY AT THE START OF THE FIGHT. Thanks.
Tireless Warrior (Passive): Xin Zhao is healed for every 3 attacks that he lands. This amount increases every 2 levels.
Xin's passive. The heal isn't too great, but its not terrible by any means. This allows you to jungle easier when needed, tank a bunch of creeps, and just survive in the lane longer. Do not rely on this ability to save you against Warwick or someone with a bunch of lifesteal.
As with most of my melee champions, I prefer to use GHOST and CLEANSE.
Ghost. For the obvious reasons - Chasing, running, being bored.
Cleanse. Before the season one patch, cleanse was much more useful. Now it does not get rid of magical debuffs, like Morde's ult or Ignite. I may switch this out, but as of right now it is still useful to take of things like exhaust or being stunned.
The only spells I am against using with THIS version of Xin Zhao would be:
Revive - ... Are you bad? Go for it. Otherwise stay away.
Smite - Since this is not a jungle build, this should not be something you get. There are other spells useful in fights and laneing that should be used over this.
Clarity - OK. I seriously played against a Xin yesterday who used this. Really? personally I never have mana issues. Theres never a reason to take this spell.
Clairvoyance - This spell should only be taken if you are queing as a team, and you are forced to be the one to have it. Otherwise there are more useful things. Leave this for a support class.
First thing to buy is boots, a mana pot and a health pot. Why boots? Moving faster to keep up with the opponent champions when using Three Talon Strike early on.
From here I move on to starting to build a Ghostblade. Buy the brutalizer first, then finish your Beserker boots. When those are finished, finish the Ghostblade and work on buying phage. Around mid game, hopefully you should have most of the Frozen Mallet completed. Then buy a B.F. Sword and start working on either a Bloodthirster or Infinity edge. Either item is fine, I personally go bloodthirster first.
Alright so you just bought boots and potions, now what? Try to lane with a ranged that has some kind of cc. Morgana or Ryze are perfect examples. Using their cc and your charge/knock-up combination leads to easy kills. Stay in the lane as much as you can, try to get last hits but do not get killed for it. When you have enough money and they are not pushing your tower, go back and buy the brutalizer and a Dagger. Lane with caution. If you keep pushing them to their tower, a gank might be headed your way. I prefer to let them push a little, and go around to the grass for some kind of gank attempt. Your charge is a great way to start.
Since Zin is a great initiator, try to start ganks whenever possible. Either have mid come to you, or you go to a different lane, killing jungle mobs between stops. As towers go down, do what you can to keep farming the money. Killing hookers is a great way to earn extra cash.
You should pretty much be going around with your team. Either setting up ambushes, pushing turrets/inhibitors, or farming whats left of the items you need.
