First of all this build has not been tested. It incorporates a wildly different playstyle to what most players are used to. You need patience and quick reactions, especially if the opposing team has a jungler. But theoretically any combo of 2 of these champions should be on top of any 2v2 skirmish, except perhaps MF and Mundo.
The basis of this build is to control the sidelanes (hence no jungler) and deny exp, building up a creep wave until it is time to storm the tower. It focusses on high early game kill capabilities, lane durability and loads of CC. I must iterate that minion kills are not a priority over denying XP, and players may initially find this hard to adapt to. Starting with top lane:
Sion and Shen need to buy quickly and head to the opponents' top bushes. Get an item for survivability like Doran's Shield and pot. In mid-to-high ranked games this move is very unusual and won't be suspected almost everytime. Shen take taunt (E) and Sion take stun (Q). Attempt first blood if an opportunity presents itself, otherwise don't leave the brush until the enemy minion wave is at your minions. Then ignore the minions and harass the opponents into retreating to their tower, making sure you are not getting aggro from their minions by staying far enough from them. If an opponent over-extends, kill them. If they run back to their tower, good. If they are forced to run to the river, chase and block their return, making them walk all the way around - even better! Once you have established XP denial, take it in turns of 10 to 20 seconds to achieve a few last hits while the other stays in the opponents bush. I will reiterate again - DO NOT ATTACK MINIONS unless it is a last hit. Never waste mana or energy with abilities on minions. Sion has Clarity for the soul purpose of keeping up harass and XP denial. He should head to a 1/1/3 build by level 5 for the damage and Shen should head for 1/1/3 or 2/0/3 to maximise the taunt duration. Keep this up, and the minions will keep fighting and killing each other in the middle of the lane, preventing easy ganking by a jungler. MAKE SURE you stay in XP range of their creeps, even if you don't get the last hits. As Sion is more item dependent, Shen should be most often in the bush threatening/harassing the opponents. If they have a jungler, this may be a 2v1 lane making it even easier! Go back to buy items at level 6, Taric first, then Mundo.
Similarly, Mundo and Taric need to head to bottom with similar items, although Mundo might want crit chance to complement a crit-chance runebook and Masochism. Taric get stun (E) heading to 3/1/1 (don't level Shatter otherwise your minions will get too strong and push themselves! Mundo get cleaver and head to 3/0/2 at level 5. Use the same procedure at top, Taric conserving mana for stuns, Mundo harassing with cleavers and getting most last hits, always having one in the bush. Get items at level 6, Shen first, then Sion.
MF or some other decent carry/harasser needs to push mid as normal, trying to get the opponents to use an early Fortify if possible, but wary of ganks from any enemy junglers. She MUST NOT GANK but level and farm hard until level 9 or 10. At this point Sion heads to bottom and between the three there, they kill all the enemy minions in lane and push hard. There should be a decent sized wave to support the push. Shen and MF defend/push the other lanes remembering to call MIAs!
From here on the game is pretty normal in terms of getting dragon, ganking, and pivotal tower pushes around Taric. Hopefully the opponents will be severely underleveled and will desperately look for ways to gain XP. Once the 3 first towers are down, ward their jungle for free kills. Remember to travel in threes from this point. The whole point of denying XP and last hits is really only viable in teh early game, but gives a great advantage leading to mid- and late-game. Please make sure you prioritise XP denial and harass OVER last hits. You won't get as much gold as usual but you WILL be at a better advantage in the end. Let's put this to the test!
