Threat Champion Notes
1
Ziggs The definition of an easy lane. You can Wind Wall all his abilities basically. His entire kit is pretty much use less against you. You can zone him and prevent him from csing by walling between your and his minions or just walling behind his minions. Be wary that he may call for ganks a lot though

Introduction

Hey Guys,

This is my Yasuo Guide. I hope you find something useful for playing Yasuo. This guide is mainly focusing on getting the basics of the champion but has some good tips for those who are already familiar with the champion.

Enjoy!

Runes

For runes i normally run: 1 Crit Chance Red, 8 Attack Speed Reds, Flat HP Yellows, and Scaling MR Blues. I go 1 Crit Chance Mark as it is very useful for early game and late game. Early helping you poke with your E dash AA on champion to get a crit and late game to help you get that 100% crit chance. Flat HP yellows because I know I will probably make the mistake in the early game and take a few early hits. However if you are confident with dodging spells or if you are confident that you will win the lane scaling HP yellows will be for you as they outpace flat HP yellows by around level 6 or 7. As for Blues I definitely always go Scaling MR as Yasuo does not get MR per level.

Masteries

Double-Edged Sword - Provides more AD, very useful early game and scales decently mid/late game.

Fury - Extremely good as it reduces the cooldown of Steel Tempest for free as the CD of Steel Tempest works through Attack Speed. Increases overall DPS.

Brute Force - Gives flat AD, all abilities scale off of it except your E.

Martial Mastery - Also gives you flat AD.

Devastating Strikes - Gives MR and Armour and also gives you Armour Pen ad Magic Pen. Both Penetrations are good as Armour Pen helps all your spells (Except E). Magic Pen helps you E.

Spell Weaving + Blade Weaving - Massive increase in DPS as it increases the damage of the Sweeping Blade, AA and Steel Tempests by 3%.

Executioner - Great for overall damage, Gives increase damage to people under 50% HP.

Dangerous Game - Excellent for Team-Fights. Gives more sustain as if you chain kills you get a lot of HP back.

Frenzy - Procs a lot, very useful for Yasuo as his overall DPS will increase. Yasuo scales well with Attack Speed.

Havoc - Flat bonus in damage. Enough said.

Items

Start:
1x Long Sword, 3x Health Potion

I personally like to start with a Long Sword and 3 pots. Although the recommended build by most people is a Doran's Blade due to its trading potentional and sustain I personally find it easier to trade with a Long Sword. Giving you 3 pots if you trade early you can force them out of lane (as you have more pots). It also helps you build your Hydra.

Mid Game:
1x Statikk Shiv, 1x Infinity Edge, 1x Tiamat, 1x Boots of Speed

This items are pretty much mandatory for Yasuo. These items help you get that 100% crit chance due to Yasuo's passive. You get a massive power spike after getting IE. Also at this point in the game if you have been farming enough you should be able to get a Tiamat and your Tier 1 boots. You may also be close to getting your Hydra.

Late Game:
1x Ravenous Hydra, 1x Berserker Greaves, 1x The Bloodthirster

Now that it is late game, you should have already built your Hydra. I build this after the IE as it gives you excellent wave clear and Life Steal for those tricky 1v1 or 2v1 situations. Build your Tier 2 boots after giving you more Attack Speed which synergises well as it allows you to Life Steal more. Also I would normally help split pushing and just farming whenever you can to build your Bloodthirster. I build a Bloodthirster along with the Hydra as it adds up to roughly 42% Life Steal and also because of The Bloodthirster's sheer amount of AD and the shield.

Defensive Item:
1x Guardian Angel/ Maw of Malmortius
Normally for my last item I will always go with a GA for the stats (MR and Armour). However in the unlikely event that their entire team consists of AP ONLY, I would build a Maw.

Situational

As stated above if they have a full AP team, build this.

If you choose to build this there is another build you could do I will put up this build below

Good if they have a lot of armour. However I don't normally build this as Yasuo's Ultimate gives him armour penetration already.

Alternate Build

The Alternate Build Follows this Order:
Doran's Blade + 1 Health Potion -> Zeal -> Statikk Shiv -> Bilgewater Cutlass -> Blade of the Ruined King -> B. F. Sword -> Boots of Speed -> Infinity Edge -> Mercury's Treads -> Banshee's Veil -> Randuin's Omen

I go this build when I want to go more tanky or if i'm not doing as well, as it is a more tanky build and makes 1v1's more easier due to BOTRK.

Skill Sequence

I like to max my Sweeping Blade first now, due to Q having a small buff where the cooldown is always 4 seconds instead of 5 seconds -> 4 seconds. Sweeping Blade gives you more mobility and allows you to use it more often on the enemy champion. Your Sweeping Blade also gives you some magic damage.

Spells

Passive:
Way of the Wanderer
- Walking causes your 'flow metre' to fill up absorbing next attack when full
- Double crit chance for any item purchased (50% crit becomes 100%)
- Filling up flow bar can save your life early game (flash to gain distance...yes this works)

Spells:
Q - Steel Tempest
- Primary Ability
- Counted as an AA (CD goes down when you purchase or have Attack Speed)
- Good poke
- Every 3 Steel Tempest creates a moving tornado
- Tornado gives best type of CC in the game (knock up)

W - Wind Wall
- Blocks ALL Projectiles (MF's ulti, Lucian's ulti, Janna tornado, Ahri's entire kit etc.)
- Can use when pushing towers to block off any damage from enemy champs

E - Sweeping Blade
- Low Cooldown (cannot spam on same target due to soft cooldown)
- Makes Yasuo extremely slippery
- Can dash over some walls

R - Last Breath
- Requires target to be knocked up
- Teleports you to knocked up target
- Gives you 50% armour penetration
- On activation Yasuo loses all Gathering Wind stacks (Q Stack)
- On activation Yasuo gains MAX flow

Summary

This concludes my Yasuo guide. I hope it was informative and helpful in one way or another. As a recap we learnt about: his laning against many champs, builds, abilities. We learnt which are the hard counters and easy picks against and for Yasuo. That's all from me
