Introduction

Hallo!!! This is my first build on Mobafire. A lot of people underestimate the full power of the dark side ... uh ... I mean Kassadin. This is as epic as ad dps crit yi mid. Ideally, Kass is a counter for ap casters. This build late game does well against all characters (maybe not tanks - although he does have madreds).

I looked through all of the Kassadin builds (the popular ones) and they were all pure ap, maybe the odd lich bane. There were also ones the incorporated Soul Stealer (EWWWWWWWWWWWW). There was 1 build that was similar to this, a jungle dps kass. It looked good and is my inspiration although I'm not too keen on the jungling idea.

Ideally you'd be midding against an ap caster but if their mid is a caitlin or something, I'd still tackle her on but would prefer to lane against their ap caster (since his q silences - best on ap casters).

With this kass build, he can be an amazing carry. He's skillful, fun, and awesome to play. If you ever meet a champion in the river or jungle alone, jump at the chance and go BAM BAM BAM WHACK WHACK WHACK!!!! Then they'll die.

A good game with this build would probably be something like 20-something kills and 5 or so deaths + assists.

An average game would be at least a positive kd ratio and around or less than 5 deaths (hopefully not to the same enemy champions).

Also, WHY IS THERE NO DARTH VADER KASSADIN SKIN!!! I TOTALLY WANT TO RUN AT THE ENEMY AND SHOUT OUT "FEAR THE POWER OF THE DARK SIDE!!!"

Items

The items are based on attack speed, ap, some tankiness and ad. These combined with his w make him a formidable opponent. Whits end is not necessary, but I put it there because its inevitable that there will be a made on the other team for which you need resistance against.

The Beserkers' are not compulsory. You could go ionian if you want, just for the extra cd or .... you could go with the extra EXTRA magic pen of Sorcerer's.

The key to this build is going hybrid between ad dps and ap. As stated above, both combined with your w are deadly for your enemies.

You don't need to worry about running out of mana or health, your rod of ages takes care of both. If you are low on mana, get a blue buff in addition to the mastery regen.

Skill Sequence

I don't really like focussing on one specific skill but if necessary I'd focus the q just for that extra bit of damage. The w is helpful early game if you level it one or two points. The e is completely useless for me except for the slow. Damage wise its convenient to ks or to get an assist.

I just love Kass' ulti. It's a damaging flash. Use it whenever you need to escape or to close in or to last hit. Its AMAZING.

Runes

As you can see, I pretty much spammed magic pen. The cooldown is also useful because it means you can spam q and w more often <---- gg for you.

Farming

Your early game farming to be honest is not going to be very impressive.
If you're up against a ranged ad or ap champion, just scare them away with your q and last hit the minions.
If you're up against a melee character then pffftttt that's easy. Just do the same as above, but you don't need to worry about be harassed too often.

Late game - R in and then E (if its charged). If your E isn't charged then press w and kill them off.

Masteries

My masteries I revolve around ap and mana regen. You'll appreciate that small amount of extra mana you get late game, after flashing away with your ulti an infinite amount of times.

The ap is pretty straight forward, since you're going hybrid between ap and ad.

Summoner Spells

You're going full out offensive on them. You have your escape (ulti), so all you need to do is harass harass and kill. Ignite and exhaust are perfect at breaking down a single target.

Team Work

It'd be preferable if you jumped in with your ulti into a team fight, whack a few champions and do some damage, then you'll probably notice you'll get focused (if you're the carry). If that happens, ulti out and then just get them to chase you.

You make the mess and then you clean it. Wipe the low health champions off (hopefully your team mates protected you and put the remaining champions on low health).

Because everyone will be spamming their skills, your e will be charging rapidly. I'd just spam the e if that's happening. Perma slow essentially.

Creeping / Jungling

You CAN jungle but I wouldn't. With the jungle nerf, anyone can jungle but it doesn't mean they'll do it fast. Kassadin is a slow jungler and his ganking ability isn't great if he doesn't have his ulti.
