HI

Introduction Hello my name is Mist-ninja (now going by Laniguru) I have been wanting to make this guide for a long time but never found the time or effort to do so, but now that i'm on school holidays i thought i might give it a shot. keep in mind that this is my first guide and any criticism would be much appreciated

About me: I have been playing League for several years now and Lee sin has been my main for most of them, I have played around with his builds and found the most effective ones that work for not just me but other players who also play Lee sin. I was diamond on my first account before i got banned for literally no reason which is why I go by laniguru now. I live in NSW Australia and am proud to live here.

What makes me qualified to tell you how to play Lee sin: I am diamond and if your reading this you are most likely bronze or silver, so I outrank you BOI (or girl I'm not sexist) plus I have been maining Lee sin for ages now so I know his ins and outs

With the introduction out of the way lets get into the rest of the guide

Items and builds

Standard build: Your most common build will be the first standard as it protects against most team compositions and allows for you to be more useful for your team for e.g say if you need to ward kick the enemy carry into the team to kill him/her but in order to do so you end up in among the rest of the enemy team, this build allows survive-ability and sustain until your allies finish the carry and come to help in which point you can escape or fight depending on the situation. This also works with the full tank build however you dont have enough sustain to keep in the fight for very long compared to the primary build.

Tank counter build: This build is essentially the same as the regular standard build however the Edge of night allows you to be more versatile in team fights as you will have the potential to kill most players on the enemy team who may have purchased armor, plus every champion has a base stat of armor so the Edge of night is also useful for that.

Full tank lee sin: This build is really fun to play as it soaks up so much damage! If your team has no tanks this is the build to go as you will be the only one who will be taking damage (or should be anyways)

AP counter lee sin: This build is useful if there is an especially annoying AP champion/champions on the enemy team, this build will be the savior of your team as you can kill the AP while they split or kill the other champs, this build also allows some sustain with maw and Visage

Below are explanations of items and what they do for lee sin, read the one that your most interested in and determine if thats the Lee sin you should play

Items standard
Trackers knife warriors enchant: This is the most important item on Lee sin as the Trackers knife is how lee sin pulls off his outplays and ward jumps, the warrior enchant is for the early damage against the enemy
Ninja Tabi: These boots should be what you get on almost all builds for Lee sin as the early armor is super useful for ganks and survivability in the jungle.
Dead-mans Plate: Dead-mans is the core item on lee as it provides mobility for ganks and extra initial damage for faster kills, plus the health and armor give you much more survivability than just the ninja tabi alone
Bloodthirster: This is the source of all your sustain and damage in the mid game, the extra shield you get plus boosted by wind-speakers blessing is quite large and gives you survivability against enemy champions.
Randuins omen: Randuins counters ALMOST ALL ADC'S because of its passive that reduces the crit damage of the enemy champion, this is super useful for when you need to kill a fed ADC or ult one in your team-fights and is especially usefull to counter yasuo one of the highest scaling AD champions in the game who relies on his crit
Guardians Angel: Not much to say here, the bonus armor and mag resist is extremely useful in all situations plus the second life you get for when u want to dive in the middle of a team-fight

Items standard against tank
Trackers knife this is the most important item on Lee sin as the Trackers knife is how Lee sin pulls off his outplays and ward jumps, the warrior enchant is for the early damage against the enemy
Randuins Omen: Randuins counters ALMOST ALL ADC'S because of its passive the reduces the crit damage of the enemy champion, this is super useful for when you need to kill a fed ADC or ult one in your team-fights
Edge of night: This give you lethality and damage against tanks and its passive is extremely useful for those annoying tanks with cc like garen or nautilus

Items standard against AP:
Trackers knife warriors enchant: This is the most important item on lee sin as the trackers knife is how Lee sin pulls off his outplays and ward jumps, the warrior enchant is for the early damage against the enemy
Merc treds: These reduce the time that you will be CC'd for meaning that stuns, slows, etc are reduced by 30%, the bonus Mag resist is especially useful for ganking most mid laners as most mid laners are AP based.
Dead-mans plate: Dead-mans is the core item on Lee even when your building against AP because of the bonus mobility and damage that you get from its passive and is also very useful for sustain and survivability in the jungle.
Maw of malmortius: Maw gives u mag resist, attack damage and sustain when your below 40% health.
Randuins Omen: Randuins counters ALMOST ALL ADC'S because of its passive the reduces the crit damage of the enemy champion, this is super useful for when you need to kill a fed ADC or ult one in your team-fights
Spirit visage: Spirit visage is the best item in the game on lee sin for countering AP, this is simply because of the health regeneration, the mag resist and the overall health it gives you.

Items standard for tank:
Trackers knife warriors enchant: Even though you are building tank Lee sin you should always build warriors enchant as it will be your only source of damage not including Dead-mans passive, if you really want to go full tank then build cinderhulk enchant however this is the build that works for me and I have found to be most effective
ninja tabi: Ninja Tabi is the most essential boots you can grab for full tank lee sin as it gives you armor. Armor scales with how much HP you have so the early armor will be much more useful in the late game, keep in mind that if the enemy team has a lot of CC or AP you should probably build Merc treds instead.
Dead-mans Plate: Dead-mans gives you early hp to scale off your Ninja Tabi's armor and provides armor for itself to scale even further, when you get this item it is important to look for ganks constantly as doing so will put you ahead and allow you to get your expensive tank items quicker while also helping out your lanes.
Randuins omen: for this build you get randuins omen fourth as you want to be soaking up as much damage early as possible and with randuins early you can gank bot lane and take little damage because of its passive, it is also a good team fight item because of its passive which slows all enemies in the surrounding area allowing for greater team play potential.
Spirit visage: I take Spirit visage first over Warmogs armor because unlike warmogs it has defense that scales with hp, you want to get the scaling stats first because of how it affects your performance earlier in the game, while Warmogs does give you more hp which does scale with your already existing armor and mag resist, plus like Warmogs, Spirit visage gives you 200% base health regen so your not missing that stat by not purchasing Warmogs.
Warmogs armor: As stated before this item should be your last because of the previous scaling your items give you,the armor and mag resist will have its best scaling after this item and after team-fights your health will regen like nothing you have ever seen

jungle clear

Your primary jungle clear should be RED, WOLVES then BLUE. This clear is the fastest and most successful clear you can perform as Lee sin as it gives you level 3 before the mid and top laners if you perform it correctly, you should try and find a gank immediately after clearing these 3 camps but if you cant then kill scuttle, gromp and then back to base for your items to clear the rest of the campsYour secondary jg clear should be your top lane buff depending on which side your on and then invade to your enemies top lane buff, this is a really risky move as high level players may ward for invades however if pulled off successfully can put the enemy jungler behind and allow for you to get ahead, again this is a risky move and should only be performed if you know the enemy jungler isn't at their top buff

I'm sorry i couldn't find an image for this one but i might make one to put here in the future

Your last clear is the standard clear or what I like to call "THE BRONZE CLEAR" I call it this because mostly bronze people clear this way however this clear can also be performed in higher Elo if you dont intend on ganking level 3 and you want the gold for your first back

masteries and runes

Masteries: These masteries are the most effective masteries for ganking and clearing jungle camps as it revolves around your allies when you gank, meaning that they should get the kill instead of you and revolves around you being a team plyer, i take Windspeakers blessing instead of Thunderlords because of the increased shielding power it gives your teamates however you can take Thunderlords if you feel like you need the extra damage for your team. I also take Runic affinity over Assassin because of the extra buff time it gives me and using this build you wont be doing much dueling by yourself anyway

Runes: Taking these runes are ideal for this build as it give you armour and mag resist which scales off of how much health you have and also allows for attack damage to show in team fights, I take 2 attack damage quints and 1 attack speed quint so that I can make the most out of my passive faster and deal damage while doing so
