About Shen

Shen is one of the strongest and oldest champion in the game. Shen has great clears in the jungle and his ganks are also very good. He has global pressure, your opponents need to think twice before entering a 2v2 because it can easily turn into a 2v3. He is a great duelist, able to duel almost every champion in this game.

Strenght of Ages

This is a keystone mastery that you should take when going jungle. It gives you tankiness, and some nice sustain. It's overall a good mastery.

Grasp of the Undying

It's the way to go when going top. On top, it's currently the Grasp of the Undying meta. The mastery gives you quite some sustain.

You should take Secret Stash when going top and Runic Affinity when going jungle. Both are useful but in different situations. Dangerous Game is one of the strongest masteries in the game, it's a life-saver and should always be taken. Neither Explorer nor Tough Skin are that amazing, but the second one is a bit better for tanks. On the other hand, [wikimastery=Perseverance] is really good, provides you with some nice stats and should be taken on both top and jungle.

Ki Barrier Twilight Assault Spirit's Refuge Shadow Dash Stand United

Ki Barrier

Ki Barrier is your passive. It allows you to get a shield similar to Shen's old W. You should hit as many spells as you can and every time you hit it the cooldown of your passive will become shorter. Imagine it as a mini game.

Twilight Assault

Twilight Assault is your Q. It gives you damage, AS, and % health damage. If the blade goes through the enemy, all the previously mentioned stats will increase. Try to get it to pass through your opponents and spam the living cluck out of it in the late game, and your DPS will be way above average.

Spirit's Refuge

Spirit's Refuge will help you trade and farm in the jungle. Use it in teamfights when the enemy Vayne decides to 1v5 the world.

Shadow Dash

Ah, Shadow Dash. Shen's kit is bread and this spell, this is the butter. It allows you to taunt your opponents. This will help you trade, gank, teamfight, chase and so many other useful things. Try to hit as many opponents as possible in a teamfight and your chances of winning that teamfight will rise dramatically.

Stand United

Stand United is the reason why they fear you. You have global pressure, your opponents will think twice before starting a fight. Use it to gank lanes and turn fights around.
