Zed is by far the best assassin and fighter, if you know how to play him well. If you play very aggressive with him early, you can gain lane dominance, and roam, farm wraiths, or kill the enemy mid laner. If you can learn to use zeds shadows to full potential, then you can outplay any champion. For this particular zed build, I am showing you what items to get to have 35%-40% CDR at all times on zed, so you can play super aggressive and get a quick kill using his ult every 40 seconds when it is late game.

Against a normal matchup, I like to use the runes on this guide, but If im going against an AD laner, then i like to run a runepage where the magic resist glyphs are switched out for cooldown reduction runes, so I have an extra 5 cooldown reduction from just the runes, as this allows you tro play more aggressive during early game.

When playing early with zed, I highly recommend using your shadows to harass the enemy opponent. Also, you may have to use your q to farm creeps, so when you do, try to not fight until all of your cooldowns are up and you have enough energy to pull them off. When I play with Zed, I like to build cooldown reduction and armor penetration items, so I can do as much damage, and as fast as possible. If you go for a cooldown reduction zed, with lucidity boots, It is necessary that you get the 2nd or third blue buff from your jungler, as it gives you 16 energy regen per second, instead of the regular 10, this allows for you to play more aggressive and to actually take use of the cooldown reduction items you have bought.

For csing, in the early game, I recommend using your Q to cs from afar if you are being bullied out, and to harass people I like using a> > combo, as it first slows them with the e, and then makes it easier to land the q on the enemy.
This combo is also used for mid/late game wave clearing, as it hits both the melee and caster minions for a quick wave of farm. Once you get a sustain item, or a few potions, I usually like to farm wraiths after pushing a mid wave, so you get more gold, and give their jungler less chances of ganking you mid if you stayed pushed.

When in team fights, Zed should be used to assasinate one of the two: their midlaner, or their adc, but usually their adc, because most mid laners will build a zhonyas vs a zed, so your ult will not be useful to use against them unless they have their zhonyas on cooldown.
