Not Updated For Current Season
The masteries shown here are not yet updated for the current season, the guide author needs to set up the new masteries. As such, they will be different than the masteries you see in-game.
Threats to Zed with this build
|Twisted Fate||dumpster this dude, at lvl 6 you have complete control of the lane. Be sure to ward the sides so that he cannot TP anywhere for free with his ult and try to freeze the lane and deny him farm. If he gets too close, you can all in him; if he tries to stun you, you can ult to avoid the card and completely annihilate him. As the game goes on however, be warned as he scales very well into the late game. Snowball as hard as you can and keep up deny.|
Hello friends, I am aisutii. I am currently Diamond 5 and was plat last season; but I have played a fair amount of zed games and will share my experiences in lane matchups.
(This is all how I feel against these champions; this is not a hard counter guide or anything, just how I feel against the matchups.
This guide ain't absolute.
Sorta standard masteries, get the blade weaving stuff for extra damage when you chain skills+autos during the ult mark time.
Start of the game: Buy longsword 3 pots.
1st back, if you have 1040+ gold, get bilgewater.
If you cannot afford 1040 gold, get some longswords.
Remember that 2 longswords = bilgeater, 2 longswords = brutalizer, so you can buy up to 4 longswords if you wish to
Get a hexdrinker early on if you have problems against magic damage.
Be sure to get bilgewater and brut early as your core so you have a relatively strong item base.
Try to rush bork as it adds to your ult's damage amplification and allows you to soft-cc them as well as make your Q easier to land.
Brutalizer early is for CDR and armorpen before the enemies buy armor to mitigate you.
For boots, CDR, tabi, mercs, or mobility. Mobility helps you roam the map for big playz though.
Last whisper is next for the strong arpen it gives.
After that, things get situational. Bloodthirster, infinity edge, defense items, all are good choices; however, they all depend on how the game goes.
If you want more burst damage, get IE for the insane crit damage
If you want more shield/sustain, get bloodthirster as it can help you win sustained fights/heal up after fights
If you need banshees for a big ult such as amumu or something, get banshee.
If you want GA, go for GA.
Just buy one of the lategame items depending on who is a priority target.
self explanatory; Q for harass/energy reduction, E for damage/slow, W for energy/cd, ult for ult.
Pros / Cons
-Zed is a safe champion to pick in many cases
-Can make crazy outplays and jukes
-Can assassinate very easily in most cases
-Can sorta get shut down by QSS
-Invincibility ults are problematic
-Can get shut down by supression/cc
-Zhonyas negates zed's ult completely
Yeah, if they build QSS or zhonya, your ult is rendered sorta useless other than the juking potential of it.
Creeping / Jungling
When CSing in lane, try to align your Q with the designated minion that you wish to kill and the enemy champion. It lets you get both the cs and potential harass for free.
You can cast your E before your W and the E will go off immediately when your W lands.
This nets you the slow, so you can aim your Q to harass them if you so wish to.
BE CAREFUL THOUGH, this pushes the wave and you may get ganked for having your W down.
no jangle information here l0l
Aim for priority targets. If their ADC got stomped and isn't as useful as others, don't go fo rhim; go for the enemy mid laner or their support as they're easier to kill. Supports are usually very easy to kill and are worth killing because they usually have the peel for the adc. However if it's a tanky support such as leona or braum, try going for another target.
Zed does a lot of damage to tanks with ulti, so don't be scared of ulting tanks as you can chunk them very hard-- if not kill them.
Yeah, if I feel like updating this some more then I will. There's a bunch more information I could put, but I feel like ending it as is for now, so have fun and good luck playing zed!
THIS IS ALL MY OWN OPINION; IF YOU DISAGREE WITH SOMETHING IN THIS GUIDE, I DON'T REALLY CARE SO good luck and have fun!! :>
