INTRODUCTION

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO PLAY THIS DURING READING:

Anyway. I'm Ape. Welcome to my first ever guide, for the inner ninja, Zed.
Zed is basically just a ninja assassin. He's good at top laning and mid. Sometimes, he will be played as jungle, but I won't cover that part.

RUNES/MASTERIES

I chose 9/21/0 because Zed really needs that armor and magic resist, but have some armor penetration in his masteries. Same thing for runes.

MID LANE

Mid Lane is great for Zed, but it has it's disadvantages. For one thing, Zed is melee, and almost all the other typical mid laners are ranged. So beware of getting poked at, because Annie, or any other ranged burst attacker, WILL fry you into a ninja barbecue.

I think it would be a great idea to put a shadow behind you when your backing. You can avoid Nidalee's op spear attack, along with many other abilities that will kill you.

As for farming, I suggest using your E then Q to finish off most of the waves. Once you get your Ravendous Hydra, farming will be no problem. However, like I said earlier, it's good to get an early gank from a jungler. That way, you can have farm, and you'll have no damage done to you until he respawns/a gank. It's VERY important to outfarm the enemy, or you will get wrecked.

SKILL SEQUENCE

I put the skil sequence to max out Q first, because you'll need it for farming effectively. You should ALWAYS start off with this ability, to harass. Max out your E second because maxing out your shadow will do really nothing but reduce your cooldown. Plus, your E has decent damage. And as always, prioritize your ult. This ult is like, the bane of finishing abilities, because you won't be able to get hit. At all. And it's basically like a free teleport to a champion, too. Other than that, there's not more to say about the skill sequence.

SPELLS

Flash. Your ninja run. Always use it. End of story.

Ignite : Good for finishing off enemies that you just couldn't quite kill.

Viable Spells:

Ghost : This is a good substitute for flash until you reach level 12. The only bad thing about this is that you can be slowed and stunned.

Teleport : Not really recommended. If you want to just go to your lane immediately, or save a turret from a push, then you would want to have this.

Barrier : This actually saved my life quite a few times. It's good if your scared of dying.

Cleanse : Maybe, just maybe, this might be helpful. 10% chance.
