Stop playing normals! But use ult after him, denies damage.
Twisted Fate
Easy. Your poke is stronger and use his W(pick a card) cooldown to your advantage. Push lane when lvl 6 so he cant roam. If he decides to roam, go for tower.
Karthus
Very easy lane. He can't stun you, nor counterplay you in anyway early game. He has no escape, and so he is a easy target to gank early game if pushing with his Q. If he tries to harass with his Q, do your best to juke/dodge it, it isn't too hard. At level 6 you should easily be able to go all-in and get him with his lack of mobility and CC.
Vel'Koz
He is very skillshot reliant, so be sure to know his kit before going against him. His Q and W is very easy to dodge, and his E can also be dodged by both having swifties or W/R. If he uses his ultimate first, be sure to use your ultimate right after, as you appear behind him and dodge all of his damage. Pretty easy lane, he also has no escape, but high wave clear, so ask for ganks whenever he is pushed up.
Ziggs
Ziggs has some long range poke, so try to stay away from your minions so he can't harass and push the wave at the same time. Try to dodge as best as possible, and keep harassing him with your W+E+Q combo, as he is squishy early game. If you can't set up a kill, shove the wave and roam.
Veigar
This is a pretty easy lane, unless you get stunned. You can dodge basically all of his abilities. Use your W to dodge his stun and R to dodge his R, however the latter takes very good reaction. Without his stun he is useless in lane, so be sure to play around the CD! If he is pushed up at your tower, be sure to ask for a gank as he has no escapes. I like having a Maw, QSS and Steraks Gage late game, as this will prevent a lot of his damage.
Akali
Easy. Farm to lvl 3 and poke her with Q-W-E, does tons of damage. Dont let her roam. Whenever you ult she might place her invisibility ability on herself, buy pinkward = profit. If you dont have pinkward go for the "luckshot" and place your w and yourself in the circle and press e + q some random place. Feels good when you hit her ^^
Syndra
Reaction is key against a Syndra. Dodge her Q with your W, and otherwise try to have good reaction. Your ultimate can dodge some of her ultimate damage and her E stun, if you succeed to do either, you should be able to win any fight. If she is far pushed up, ask for a gank as she has low mobility.
Lux
Lux has huge poke and can easily one shot you if ahead. The main part to winning fights against her is to dodge her binding, as she will have a hard time hitting her R without it. If she is playing safe, shove the wave and go roam. If she is aggressive, ask for a gank as she has low mobility.
Kassadin
His early game harass is decently high, but do your best to harass back. His Q does have a little shield, so try to wait it out and use your W+E+Q combo. If he's shield is up, you will lose most of the trades. However at level 6 it can be hard to catch out a Kassadin if he both has flash and his ultimate. If his flash is up, you can go for an all in and place your shadow behind him to cover more ground. If he goes aggressive, dodge his burst by ulting him whenever he uses his ult aggressive. Try to shove him under tower as he has low wave clear, and use this opportunity to roam or do raptors.
Katarina
Skill matchup. Poke her down as much as possible early game, and whenever shunpo is off cooldown. A wise Katarina player would start Cloth Armor, and build Armguard into Zhonyas. This is pretty hard to deal with, so you need to play well. Stand aside from minions, as it will deny Q damage. Don't stand to ahead of minions, as the initial Q damage does a lot of damage. Whenever she ults, ult her, and try to W out of range. Followup on her roams, and have good botlane wards. Most of the times, first recall should be a hexdrinker. Do not focus her in teamfights when Zhonyas isn't on CD. Whenever she has Zhonyas, shove the way and roam top/bot. But most of all, do not let her roam/snowball!
Morgana
If she cant hit her Q then its quite an easy lane. Dont stand on her W as it does more damage than you would think. Thumb rule: Stand behind minions, almost always caster minions. That way she cant hit her binding.
Viktor
Viktor is extremely strong, as he has long range poke and a stun. Most Viktors place stun on top of themselves when you ult them, so try to W out of the range or QSS/Cleanse the stun and save the W for his ultimate. He's post 6 is very strong and bursty. Hexdrinker essential.
Ahri
Skill matchup. Poke her down early game, get a gank or wait to lvl 6. When her Charm and ult is on CD go for an all-in. Otherwise she can be hard to play against, as her ult can save her many times, and a good Ahri player will time her charm as you come behind from your ult. If you're behind, consider hexdrinker.
Yasuo
Skill matchup. Get jungler help as Yasuo almost always pushes the lane with his Q+E. He has no good escape other than his E, but normally your minions aren't behind him. Poke him and try to juke out his W so an all in will be easier. Tip: When he uses his tornado and you can feel he wants to go all in, dodge the tornado with your ultimate, which will put him in a great disadvantage. Negates all the damage and the knockup+suspension. Don't let him roam, as a fed Yasuo is deadly. If you are experienced he isn't too hard, but if you are new to Zed it can easily be very hard.
Cassiopeia
Dodge her posion or it's over, her E does insanely amounts of damage and she can spam it. If she hits her ult you are dead, but you have kill potential at lvl 6.
Ekko
Ekko does counter you in many situations. His ultimate can dodge your ultimate, so try to bait it out or go for an all in whenever it's on CD. His W can both stun you and give him a huge shield, so try to dodge his stun with W or R whenever he goes aggressive. Dodge his W in fights and try to get an early lead, otherwise it can turn out very bad for you.
Swain
Swain is a very annoying lane match-up because of his strong harass in the early game. His damage is also pretty strong and once he hit level 6 he has a ton of sustain from the healing. Don't 1v1 him without ignite, as this prevents some of his healing. His build can also be decently tanky, a Mortal Reminder can be really sweet against him, both for the AP, but also for the grevious wounds. Avoid fighting him 1v1, so either wait for gank or take raptors/roam inbetween waves.
Diana
Try to poke her down, and rush hexdrinker. Dodge her Q and you have a decent chance at winning lane. But be careful, her combo is deadly.
Talon
Talon is a difficult match-up. Early game try to farm and poke, his W will automatically push the wave, but try not to get hit by it, as it slow you and damages quite a lot. Try to get jungler help before lvl 6, unless your jungler has a good CC spell, as his ult will make him invisible. Most Talon players use their ult after you ult them, so always have a pinkward when going all in as it screws him over.
Tryndamere
Look at his build, if he is tanky it can be very hard to kill him, although if he went full AD, take full advantage over his squishyness. Try not to go on him when he has ult, as it counters you very hard. You can however juke him around if your shadows are well placed.
Lulu
Dodge! Annoying poke + kit that counters you. Get help from jungler, you simply cant 1v1 her.
Malzahar
Dodge! You can't win lane nor game. His aids are too strong and his ult counters yours. Cleanse doesn't even stop the point and click suppression, if you dont dodge, consider getting a QSS earlier.
Kayle
DODGE!! Kayle is one of the worst, if not the worst matchup as Zed. Her kit simply counters yours. She has a damaging slow, long ranged AOE slow, and a heal + speed up. If you thought that was bad, her ultimate is even worse, it basically makes any champion on her team immune to damage for 2-3 seconds. You can't even go on their ADC, as she will just pop it on them making them immune to your damage. Fight her only when the ultimate is on cooldown. Also, if she buys Rylais it will be a nightmare. GL
Lissandra
Very hard lane. She has some medium ranged poke early game, and a gapcloser/escape ability. Once you both hit level 6, your ult is basically useless against hers, as hers counters yours. Play safe and roam as best as you can. I prefer to splitpush in the late game, as her CC is very strong in teamfights, especially against you.
My normal combo is W-E-Q its better than W-Q-E 'cuz u canceling the Q animation. And for the combo with ultimate 1 tip - put your W right or left of the enemy first then R and make ur combo E-Q or Q-E ^.^ GLHF
