+1 to get u started, but I question some things about this guide.... Once you get blue, you will be fine on mana, but without it what would you do? Hextech is more of a starting item, ussualy not good to get it near the end of the game.... anywho good luck! :) |

If you play Ziggs you'll notice that you have to conserve a lot more. Basically; You're going the same way as before, but you can't spam as much as you should (because you need to keep mana over 50% in case of teamfights or escaping). I also understand people hate on rabadon rushing, but so far it has worked out wonderfully for me. Getting hextech is a fine strategy as well, but this guide is angled towards insane AP at the start (Hence, I use the term "Glass Cannon" to describe how fragile he is). Even with the hextech, you'll still want to harass and stay back, which you don't lose too much health from doing. This is just one of many ways to build Ziggs. If you favor hextech first, then you should get it first - My item build isn't the best one I suppose, but it gives what it promises; Lots of damage, especially early. This guide is very in-depth and for a first guide on your account it looks exemplary. I will give a full review of my thoughts tomorrow as Ziggs is one of my two main mid champions. Other is  Kennen. One thing I can say right now is if you are going to get  Will of the Ancients last then it really is rather useless and should be replaced with  Lich Bane instantly. Ziggs greatly benefits from Lich Bane all around. Not only that but the proc from Lich Bane absolutely destroys towers to the point of OP-ness.Like I said a full review shall come tomorrow My #1 Guides:   Check out my new |

The only "downside" is that you mostly will get it too late for it to show its true power, but when you do get it; it's really devastating.

Good start, but you need rylies bro. Your range alone won't keep you safe in a teamfight. Without some HP even the tank will eat you alive. If you found my comment helpfull, +rep me. IF i was an *******, fell free to inform me =D

Overall, based on your item build it is decent, but I believe that the items could be rearranged a bit. I would definitely agree with you that you should build Death Cap first, but would say you should build Void Staff second instead of Zhona's. I believe Zhona's typically isn't needed that early in the game. Also, Ziggs typically is pretty good at protecting himself and team fights and doesn't need that survivability as much.

Agree with what you're saying; but Ziggs is a really a though champion to make a balanced build, because he is such a hard hitter. Rylai's is in the situational items, it's not included in my picks because I favor other items instead of it - as I describe in the introduction: This is a PURE glass cannon build, and will not include many "life conserving items", with the exception of hourglass, which also has quite a lot of AP.

Zhonya's has actually nettet me some kills as well, and as you get Zhonya's as your third item, you will have it around mid-late game. That's when you need it most; because the enemy team will try to slaughter you as fast as possible. Agreed with Ziggs being good at protecting himself, but when you're caught off guard by say.. a stun, you're completely.. well; screwed to put it in a nice way. Zhonya's gives you more time to get away and get help. Void Staff is a great option that early too, don't misinterpret me, but i rarely see people getting the heavy MR before late game.
