Introduction

Alright, welcome to my support Zilean guide! First off I noticed that there were so few guide for Zilean here on Mobafire.com that I felt I just had to make one. First thing first, Zilean is an amazing support with good harass with a speed boost/enemy slow. The most outstanding feature is his ultimate of coarse which if used right will bring any team mate back to life! I'll get more into that a bit late so here we go.

Runes

Okay so my rune choice is kinda a standard support rune build. I take armor marks, mana regen seals (Keep all those spells going non-stop), Magic resist glyphs and last but not least gold per 10 Quintessences. As a support you need to be able to harass without taking much damage so making yourself as tanky as you can will make farming easier for your carry. All the while you're throwing out bombs to keep the enemy at bay.

Masteries

Alrighty here are my Masteries broken down, I go 1/8/21 taking one point into Summoner's Wrath for the added debuff on exhaust, eight in defensive points to add to my tankyness, and lasty gold per 10 and bonus stater gold with cool down reduction and experience gain increas.

Skill Sequence

I like to start out with bombs just so I can start my harass early if anything to deny my enemy AD carry some/all farm. Taking Rewind at level two allows a bit easier harass with double bombs making the enemy more wary of coming anywhere near you or the minions. At level four/three I take time warp for the added slow/speed boost. If you need it earlier then take it at three if not wait till four. I like to max it first for a longer slow/speed boost.

Summoner Spells

These are pretty self explanatory exhaust plus your slow, and you can stop just about anyone in their tracks which if it gets your AD carry a kill then it's doing it's job. I also take flash for the defensive and offensive uses either to get an extra slow or bomb off or to just escape.
