Hey guys I'm Wildfìre Zyra and I play on EUW, she is my most played Champion with around 87k points (I wouldn't call myself a "Main", since I play a lot of other Champions aswell, but she is definetely my favourite champ in the game). I've decided to make a Zyra Guide, because she is super underestimated and it seems, that a lot of people don't know what she does. I will try to keep the guide short, but let's see how it turns out. Have fun!


(Note: Zyra is probably a better support, than a midlaner, but I don't enjoy playing support that much, that is why I tried her out mid about half a year ago and I found success in playing it. Overall this is still a fun thing to try out. Don't expect to have immediate succes, since this is more a non-meta thing.)

Pros:
- High amount of burst damage
- Carries teamfights
- Has lane Pressure
- Good early- and mid game
- Counters (most) assasins
- Can turn around ganks (nearly ungankable in lane)
- A lot of people underestimate your plant damage
- Offers good counter engage

Cons:
- Falls off late game
- Loses to heavy engage comps
- Loses in lane to high mobility, since she is a control mage
- Needs some more cooler skins (Skt1 Zyra sucks lol)
- Randomness of her seed spawn places (managable)
- Probably better at support, than mid
- Bad AP scalings

The laning phase mostly depends on your Enemy, but I try to generelise some things.

Vs Assassins: Most assassins are melee, so try to poke them as much as possible with your Q and your plants. You definetely have kill pressure in lane. Care for the enemy jungler and always have enough seeds planted.

Vs Mages: Against mages you probably want to play a bit more defensive. Also care for the jungler. Here it really depends on the Champ you are playing against.

Vs ADC's: ADC's can be pretty annoying, so try to play a bit more defensive, but use oppurtinities to poke them with your Q and your plants.

Try to root your enemies, when they are standing near to each other and then cast your plants plus your ult. You can start fights, but also you can follow up big AOE ults. But the biggest strength, that Zyra has in counter engaging, so just wait until your enemies engage and fire everything. Try to not get focussed down and then you should be fine!

Q Animation Cancel: There is an animation cancel, when you use e and immediately use q after. This cancels the animation of your q. This is usefull, if you want to burst down an enemy. You can also plant seeds, when you're doing the cancel.

Seeds: Your seeds are very important, since your plants deal a lot more damage after the update. Try to plant your seeds in lane to have early pressure with your Q plants. Also always plant your seeds after you use a spell. So cast Q and plant seeds after that in plant range of your Q.

The right Skin to use: Definetely Wildfire Zyra. xD (Haunted is okay too)

Yea that's my build I really tried to keep it short and focus on the main points, I hope this insipres some people to pick Zyra up.
