Eh, yer starting skill really depends on what you're facing. Like if you KNOW they're gonna be in the bush then by all means get her Q so you can reveal it. I just personally prefer the shield more because anyone facechecking a bush or going near one before everyone is revealed at the start of the match deserves to give first blood. The extra survivability is really nice and is extremely clutch for low level fights.

OK. So at level one what you are saying is: "Here ally, lemme give you a 60 HP shield with a bit of MR and Armor! Now go facecheck that bush for me!" Instead of: "Don't worry team, let me check to see if anyone is in th ebush trying to gank our jungler!" *uses [Q] into bush* "HOLY ****! There were 5 people in there! RUN AWAY RUN AWAY!!!!!"

Yah, you might want to rethink your starting skill just a tad.

You feel squishy maxing E as soon as possible? How is that possible? Orianna has the lowest armor and MR compared to every champ. Of course she's gonna be squishy.

I dont like your build because i feel like being squishy because im underfeeded in the start. I get boots so late that i never get to run away and im not getting feeded enough to get boots fast. I mean archangel staff cost a bit much and you have to buy that before boots. Thats why i never get to reach boots and when i finnaly do the others are much more feeded by me because i cant run away. -1

Thank you aubrey i am glad it worked for you. I threw this build up to show people how i rank with orianna and i always do great with it. Although people look at builds and say hextech sucks and just down vote it then o well i will be buried. Then the people that know its good cause they have tried it will have a good build. I find my build works great at dominating other orianna's so then you can be like yeahhhh im the better orianna -shades on-.

I hate when people either down vote because they don't like an item or for some stupid reason.

"Orianna can jungle actually" -Down vote for that..?

I have played this build several times now and it has always worked. I have a lot more survivability and damage to harass + the mana regen is amazing. The spell vamp helps to much too when I lane because only the catalyst doesn't keep me full when harassing fully.

Great guide I thought, others may not agree with it but I say good job.

I would also suggest Magic Pen Marks, Armor/health Seals, AP/CDR/Mres Glyphs, and HP/Mpen Quints. Hope I helped. I'll rate after you fix your runes :)

It's not flat health, but it greatly increases your ability to sustain yourself, and gives just as much AP for a 900g lower price tag.

Wrath- I agree with you on all your points. I love to just clean up shop on teams and do tons of damage. But, I've found when I do this I tend to get focused on more than I prefer. The summoner spells and lack of major nuking all team fight is more a testament to my play style (very close to the vest and avoid dieing at all costs) than her abilities to do serious damage. Ghost and Flash are both in the useful summoner spells.

Orianna is a very good supporter. Its much better for supporting than nuking. I still prefer Clairvoyance

@Raven, Ori is the 2nd most damaging nuke right behind Veigar, please don't play her support when she has so much other potential.

also at author, in the role section you say that she is good for cleaning up people low HP.

bro, she gets people to low HP AND cleans them up.

With enough AP late game your Q+W+Q combo will kill most carries, and your ult during teamfights will disrupt everything and deal 50%+ of everyone's HP.

She is the cleaner spray and the mop, not just the mop.

Also, since you should not really be support much mid-late game, you want pretty offensive summoner spells...

also, besides your very short speed up from W you don't have any natural escape mechanisms...

taking these in mind, I would recommend flash and ghost.

Played a couple games and just switched my masteries altogether. Utility helps a lot with Orianna.

You lack too much mana regen, Clarity can't cover that much. Either pick mana regen runes instead of armor runes or buy simply more mana regen. That much will never be enough even with Clarity which has a cooldown or you're not taking most advantage of her passive and aura dancing. Not enough cooldown reduction either, maybe build a Shurelya's to cover mana regen AND cooldown reduction? Or simply Morello's Evil Tome.

Also about runes, maybe you want full HP quints, I don't see the need for one mag pen quint especially since you build Abyssal Scepter. Maybe you wanna consider a team that doesnt have many casters so in case you won't really need Abyssal scepter, then suggest to build something else? Maybe then that Shurelya's or Morello.

All together the idea seems quite nice, but you shouldnt need that much defense, becausae as a Sona you need to position yourself behind everyone pretty much out of reach. Nice idea though but it's better to get more mana regen and cooldown reduction to make most use of your skills.

Runes: Hmm, I would prefer Armor seals on her instead of Health, and give her full Heatlh Quients instead...

Items: Because Sona's mana dependent, I'm surprised you're not running Tear, and building that into AAS, as it will give her more AP. I'm also surprised you would suggest will of the ancients as she already has a self-heal (her heal will heal a nearby ally and herself).

Well since ppl rate and don't comment here i go.
I run sona since lvl 10 or so don't take it personally.

I can see the point of the build as a faceroll caster with support items.

It will work but its nothing new.

Its a reliable build if y have a good team composition, but if y go for solo QUe will probably get blame for all the **** in the world.

Tell you what show me some screens of some scores...

and ill rate y afterwards.

P.S: How many times y get rabadon.

i do not think jungle is possible with her, however you can start exploring jungle very early with shield attack and dissonance... i strongly recommend, if your team agrees with it that you jungle as much as possible, taking in consideration if your lane is safe or not...

i actually did this myself but i dont agree with tht u wont be strong early game cuz i play with this build and i keep my harass up with q+w combo and spam it like hell but i carry clarity and tele for the mana issues i run into but i have many games of awesome 1v1s against noc'ss n yi's

and ive found tht she is a very good jungle with minor items is any one tryin to see if u could jungle with ori

when that problem comes you either have clarity or simply get blue buff... With blue buff, with reduced cooldown and crazy mana regen you can spam like hell and be able to have all the mana you need. with just clarity you only need some moderation when using the skills :)

I really like your build. I've played orianna as AP many times but... with the AP ratio on her spells it just doesnt seem worth it. AS / AP I prefer a lot more, though due to mana issues I do go for a tear first.
