It's free healing. Is this a problem when you have 2 other spells that hit hard and apply the full value?

It makes all your spells AoE, so all your spells reduce the spellvamp. It's free healing, true, so I'm not really complaining, but I just fine it odd that it gives you spellvamp and then reduces the actual spellvamp you get.

Ryze usually uses his ult to either AoE farm or team fight. In both cases, the extra AoE (besides giving more damage output) lets you heal off of more targets than usual. You may only get a third of the spellvamp off of one Q, but what if it hits 3 or 4 targets?
Theoretically it's an odd combination, but I think in practice it works just fine.  Thanks to Minho for the sig! |

His Q for example, gets full spellvamp from 1 target, and then the ultimate gets 1/3 spell vamp.
Same with his W, and his E(I think...). It's not counterproductive, because only the splash is AoE damage, and only the splash is 1/3 healing. Tri lane for life.

You sure his Q still gives single target vamping? Not sure it does.
