I get that asked a lot, it's because I get it for the CdR and Armor. It has 24 more armor than Randuins and 10% more CdR than Randuins. It's also a nice bunch cheaper. I never really build any HP on Riven because she can survive with her shield and mobility.

Randuin's Omen >  Frozen Heart, 10% more CdR is nice, but the Active from Randuin's Omen outweighs it imo..But hey, whatever floats your boat.

But even in that situation i would probably have gone for a GA, just cuz i loove dat item on riven.

CV is a better support spell IMO, but exhaust allows for a stronger lane and you can make sure that your allies will probably react to an exhaust, a CV can be useless when your allies have no map awareness. Riven too gud. Had 6 games with her of my last 10. 5 wins and an annoying throw from botlane. Though I mainly jungle her, since it is easier to get jungle than top.
Like Lee she has insane ad-scaling, huge mobility and burst. I ran from a Gragas from one base to the other and got away. And he's got good mobility!
and all in all. her gameplay is so much fun too!~
