Pathing is key, dodge the grab.
Blitz doesn't stun in his grab so you can flash/blink out of it. Get to know his control zone (range of ability) and keep vision of him so you know you're safe.

stay behind minions, you know hes in the bush. Tell your support to ward the bush, hide behind mnis and hes useless all laning phase

Play/get a support that can neutralize him temporarily in those occasions he is just running towards you full speed ready to knock and pull afterwards. If your support is bulky-ish, he should (tho most don't) stay between the two of you when blitz does his run.

 Taric is good as you can just stun the ADC and burst. Alistar is great as getting grabbed means you get a free initiate. Sivir can Spell Shield all day. Janna can ult to disengage then, and supply heightened poke with E so they CAN'T pull you because they will die if you can close to them. Soraka can burst-heal out of his silence range. Ezreal can poke and E out of grab.There are tons of ways to deal with him. My guess is you had a bad matchup? SOOO many things can get out of the grab and I mean sooo many I know for a fact both ez and trist can, im prettysure rocka can silence him so he cant even pull, graves I belive can do it if he times it right same with lee. It's not OP but, definitly is anoyying and can be game changing at times. but think of it this way besides a hook what else does he do? a knock up and a silence(well and overdrive too I guess) that's it, he can't sheild or heal people, he can't stun people he can though peel really well and initiate very well though.

 Leona hard counters blitz btw...ali is also good verse him but leona I find is better in so many ways! you pull her she sheild then stuns you once she falls after that she ults you...good job closing the gap for her -__- same goes for ali basicly.

Sivir,  Rocket Grab is a mana potion.Stay behind minions / dodge it. There are either bad cranks or good cranks. I presonally don't like them, because most of the time they are not that accurate.
