Deserved ELO?

I'm not saying you should believe in tier lists, hardcounters, the bible or even santa claus. Galio doesn't counter all casters but does very well against most of them. The point about Viktor is, that he wants to achieve two things:

1. Achieve total lane dominance. A Viktor who utterly dominates his opponent in lane is likely to deny his opponenent a lot.
2. Becoming much stronger than the enemy mage. A good Viktor will abuse his lane dominance in a way that he will become much stronger in teamfights than the enemy ap carry. This is because Viktor lacks range when it comes to teamfights, better make up with damage.

If a Viktor can't do this, he's basically countered since there aren't any reasons to pick him then. Karthus takes away lane dominance hard. Again, I'm not telling you that picking Karth is a gg for Viktor because that's not the nature of mid lane, however it's a huge setback if you do not achieve to get lane dominance which is what a good Karthus is going to do to you.

Countering doesn't mean 'to shut down' per se. Countering is all about taking away the advantages of that champion. Viktor is usually chosen for his great laning power, if he loses that.. what's the point of picking him?

Adding to that, with this statement you basically call me a ******.

Mmmm, Im pretty damn sure that if anyone uses this, they can pretty much neglect anyone's damage.
What if I use the same trollpage on LB? This is a very rare case (at least I probably saw someone once doing this on Galio)

And also, no one ever prevents LB from rushing Void Staff which is quite cheap.

I was speaking mechanics, when I said that LB counters Viktor. The only way to hit a ray is to:
a) get that dumb bug (that should be fixed.....) when the ray goes invisible
b) accidentially hit it from max range, just because the enemy walked into it O_o
c) get at point blank range and hit the opponent with the end of the ray

While a and b are possible against anyone, scenario C vs LeBlanc means you're exposing yourself to maximized damage combo which can many times 100-0 a Viktor (as squishy as he is). Of course, I keep in mind your ****load of MR, so I'll likely ask for a gank too to get some physical damage.
Viktor usually pushes pretty hard and a player with a lot of resist will likely feel confident and stick around. Maybe 80~ MR is a problem for LB, but dat Ree Singah will have no problems with melting down the 17 armor and 500 hp healthbar.
Or are you runnign something like 9-21-0 on Viktor too? :DD

+ past getting Void Staff, I don't see any reason why this runepage should stop me from dealing damage to Viktor. Even if you build MR, you still have less health that you would usually. So it kind of evens it out.
