I've had my ups and downs in ranked and managed to get all the way down to 800-ish elo and after hard fought games and some friends duo queueing ive gotten back to 1200. Now that i've gotten back here I curious as to how to keep going. Low elo is all about carrying your team since 9/10 they are that special kind of moron at least from what i've seen and i've been told that around 1500 is where the fabled elo hell ends. I just wanted to ask the community exactly what you did to climb to near 1500 and how strats change at different elo. Did you focus one area (top, mid, jungle, etc.) or is it still all about carrying everyone on your back every game?

TL;DR - How did you climb to your elo?

Same as before, carry, play safe, don't get greedy.

I am doing the same climb. Was doing dumb **** in ranked and went down to just above 700. Am just above 800 now. Going upwards.

Elo hell doesnt exist(Or is everywhere up to you to choose which one it is) people are ******ed up to 2000 elo

Just climbed from 900 - 1300 myself with almost exclusively ezreal. Currently 1254. I've noticed that it seems slightly harder to abuse my early game to get an early surrender. So now I just go vayne and stomp on fools.

Honestly there isn't much of a difference except for the fact that people actually ward lanes as you climb elo and pretty much everyone will follow the meta.

Play a role that is game changing. Things like Jungle Alistar, solo-top Shen, support Soraka, AD Tristana, or Zyra mid.
