Regarding countering Morde by Vlad ... how ??? Every one of Vlads skills have same or lower range as Mordes aoe...
With similar farm both with revolvers or WotA you would just heal all the dmg with the note that mordes ulti is stronger than Vlad's 1v1.
Cassio is hard counter to Vlad. Ryze > Vlad. Cassio > Ryze.
Morgana counter most AP, kennen counter Morgana as you cant block his stun effect.
Morde vs Cass used to be farm lane, as no1 will get in range of the other.
Btw, autoattack counter vlad with most of the ranged champs before he gets revolver.
If I face Kat on my Vlad, I would go near full magic resist runes + boots + pots and no1 will leave the lane like forever. Hard to say who would be more usefull for team, I will probably go Wota+Rylai to provide team slow with average damage and stronger survivability and relay on team members CC to stop Kat in teamfights.
And as Vlad can clear waves very fast minimizing her chance to roam and snowball cause her ganks are nasty.
That is the scenario which most probably not happen, cause Vlad should not be picked on blind.

Honestly, if you do that, I'll just call Lee Sin over to mid lane for him to screw Vlad that has no armor and meanwhile will go gank myself :D

Every time I take Kat against Vlad, I do just fine. Pool cooldown is pretty long and if Vlad uses it to avoid a gank, he will either let me freefarm and do what I want with the lane or will take full 3 seconds of ulti to the face.
Also, healing reduction is quite important.
+ Vlad pools counters some spell of every champ in game, thus when you see Vlad, cry and turn off the computer. Right?
Cuz remember, Vlad's pool counters Fizz's fish and Swain's root as well. And also a ton of other moves.
