Iordania, here once again with a question I've always found my self asking. There are so many different types of tanks out there and its all about preference, but the main things to consider are...

Crowd Control
Damage reduction
Mobility
Damage

Probably Alistar based on those categories, or Skarner maybe.

It's all situational. These are in no particular order.

Disruption: Maokai, Blitz, Alistar, Leona

Damage tanking: Maokai, Alistar, Leona

Damage dealing: Jarvan4, Taric, Volibear

Mobility: Who gives a **** how fast they can jump walls.

INITIATIONS: Maokai, Amumu, Leona, Jarvan4, Galio

Saves your ***: Galio, Shen, Taric

Those are some of the tanks that I think are good at what they do. Take it as you will.

In my opinion: SINGED!
his passive gives him more hp via mana.
deals epic damage with low mana.
and are good for disruption.
and his ult gives extra's for what everything a tank needs.
