Lately i've fell in love with SoloTop/Jungling Snowballers such as Riven and Lee Sin and, I know that AD runes are better for early game to create a lane dominance, and ArPen runes scale much better Late game. But sometimes I just get kited, I get a Darius or Kayle as a solotop and even with AD runes for early dominance I get shut down, and soon regret that I didn't go ArPen to at least have a decent Late game..So is it viable to always mix the runes (AD runes ArPen quints and vice versa) and not worry about being countered and such?

Full ad or full arpen much better.

Usually you do mix both, the big difference it does is for the like first 3 lvls or so

Has anyone ever done tests? I need more advice because I wanna settle this before I play again :S

AD is definitely better for Riven due to ridiculous bonus AD scaling on everything she has, including her shield.

I think it was like 7 ArP marks + 2 AD marks and 3 AD quints, the best one "calcul wise" or close to it. Tho why don't you try it for yourself, on some champions it's better to mix both and on some others better to go full AD. Again like I said "AD" is more damage early so you can count on snowballing your lane "maybe?" and get the ArP you need? (Brutalizer)
Besides all of this I think you should try it. Full Arp: Results 7 arp marks + 2 ad marks + 3 ad quints: Results Full ad: Results For a lot of people the results might be different (you feel more confortable with those or these because of your playstyle / build) ty xaiolu for the sign :3 |

ArP does nothing for her shield whereas it scales 1.0 with bonus AD. That alone is enough to make AD runes far superior in all stages. Personally though I use AD on everything anyway for the last hitting. |

As a Riven player, I never get far enough in the game to buy ArPen, so I try to slot some of my runes into desolation to make up for it.
