Well Yi's not really good at solo-top while Jax is a freaking monster so.. yeah...

Running AD Master Yi you are also super dependent on autoattack damage, which means that Jax can own you with his dodge spell duration and his stun.

Barring unforeseen circumstances (a really good jungler to help you, a really bad Jax etc), that lane is a goner.

You can't peddle papooses with a dancing monkey.

AP yi gives you a slight chance. But if you do not shut him down early you lose the lane.

You can try building him as something else than yi, like some weird tanky bruiser..

.. and probably still not make it.

Berzerk has a good point. AP Master Yi can't win that lane, but you could at least get away with farming semi-safely. Sit under your turret and pray to the gods that your jungler has some CC so you can get the ganks in.


Late game Jax is way more terrifying than late game AP Yi though unfortunately, so in the end you would still come out on the bottom :(
