I've tried multiple times now to change my guide type via both editing and the dropdown at the actual guide, but every time it just ignores the change and goes back to the original. Bug?

Which one are you trying to change and what are you trying to change it to?
If you have any dominion item in it at all, it'll default to dominion-type and will not change otherwise. If you have two builds, one on each side of the build page, it will default to team-type and again, will not change otherwise. Only way to change it off those is to either remove the dominion items or move the other build on side A to side B or vice versa. You can also change them to humor-type or general-type at any time though.

It will change back once you publish it, so don't worry ;) The same thing happens to the guide title if you try to change that before publishing.

Humor and general are the "end all" guide types and will override any other types you have.
I.E. Dominion/Team General-type is usually reserved for things like explaining masteries, runes, what junglers do, etc. Humor is more for things like my Teemo guide. Full move speed, do a barrel roll, use the boost to get through, etc.

My guide is a Champion guide not a map guide, not specific to one map, has playstyles, builds, and suggestions for both maps. Contains Info and Builds for both Summoner's Rift and Dominion. It bothers me that I cannot give it the correct label. People won't find my guide if they are looking for guides for that champion because it doesn't show up in the default guide search. Please help. I feel like my guide should get the chance to see the light of day- er computer screens- instead of being buried in the dominion guides.
