Edit: Check out jhoijhoi's guide on how to make a guide. It is extremely in depth and will help you to get the most out of your efforts!

To post your own build, follow these steps:

  • Under the "Tools" menu, choose "Champion Builder".
  • Enter a name in the "Build Name" box, choose something unique that will get people's interest.
  • Under where it says "Team 1" click the "+ Add Champion" button/link.
  • Click on the champion you want to build for.
  • On the left hand side, under the champion's portrait, are two book icons. Click these to select your Summoner Spells.
  • On the right hand side are four tabs that you can click through.
  • In the first tab "Mastery Trees" you can spend your master points.
  • In the second tab "Skill Sequence" you can select the order you will upgrade your skills in.
  • In the third tab "Rune Build" you can select which runes you will take.
  • In the fourth tab "Item Purchases" you can select which items you will buy. The order you add the items here is important.
  • Down below, type up an explanation of how to play this build in the "Build Description" box. Be as detailed as you can and make use of bbcode to make it easier to follow.

The more detailed your description is, the more positive votes you are likely to get. Explain why you chose the masteries, skills, runes and items that you did. Provide some alternatives players might consider. Explain techniques and tricks to use while playing the champion. Describe how you should approach fights against different opponents or teams. Step players through a typical match with this build - when to buy the first items, what to watch out for, etc...

When you are finished click "Save as Draft". This will save the build on your profile and show you a preview of it without making it public - for now only you can see it. You can click the "Edit" button at any time to continue working on it. If you lose the link to your build, just go to view your own profile and you will see it listed there. Once you are done editing and are ready to show everyone your build, click the "Save and Publish" button instead of the "Save as Draft" button. This will open your build up for all to see and list it in various places across the site, ready for discussion and voting!

For more advanced bbcode you can read the bbcode guide. You might also want to take a look at DEWO's suggestions on how to format your guide. I suggest you spend the time to read the various stickied threads in the Support forum, you will find a lot of useful information there!

When in doubt, feel free to ask for help in the Support forum. There are always members ready to answer your questions and help you improve your work. Good luck and have fun!

Good idea. I'll add a few so we can host them here.

You don't yet have 5000 characters in your build yet. That is listed as one of the requirements in the massive red box that says "This is not yet a complete guide".
