There's nothing more to add to your idea. It's one of those simple but clever ones that are basically finished when started, you'll just have to wait until Matt and all that gets around to putting it up.

cuz some1 said they "always" check the support forum and it's already been 1 week :P

idk about flashj, but Matt always checks the forums. Just because he hasn't responded, doesn't mean he hasn't seen this. He would've put this on the "things that need to be done" list that is notoriously long. Be prepared to wait a long time before its implementation.

It would probably crunch up the information in current guides, as there is a bunch of information down the right side of the screen. The floating ToC would then take up a bunch of room on the left side as well, and would likely reduce the size of the guide width on smaller computer monitors.

I think it's a good idea, but I'm not sure how it would actually look like on smaller monitors.
