I probably WON'T get rep for this post lol, but what exactly is the significance in rep points? Like is it just to let others know how well-respected you are in the forums or is there something that comes from it? I'm sure you have it posted up somewhere, but I didn't really know where to look (sorta lazy lol...).
 If you felt I contributed and stuff, can I have a (+1 Rep =3)?

Well, can't say I'm surprised about this. As you can see, Rep is something you give to people you like, people who make a funny joke and those who ask for it (or specifically do not, for that matter). It was supposed to be given to those that are helpful and an asset to this community, but luckily those days are behind us. I would appreciate it if our Veterans wouldn't joke about breaking the rules, or repping for no reason. Rep is intended to reward those than help others. If you rep for no reason you're defeating the purpose of the system and rewarding someone that has done nothing to deserve it.
Just remember to read the RULES in the wiki article lugi linked too!
