Idc about my rank honestly. Wouldn't care if I was back to a normal User, but a green name looks nice. Makes you look "superior" in a way I guess, but really it just means you're really helpful. Doesn't matter how much rep you have, people will always be people. Rep is a sign that you're doing it right.

I don't understand either. I think everyone just wants to become a Veteran so they have access to all the private forums and have more "power" then others. I honestly think that the newer users think that Veterans have more power because they have a title and exclusive rank availible to those that contribute more than those that don't. I don't care about my rank honestly, I just want to be a vet xD

It's the green name. It constitutes OP.

If I helped you, click that +rep!

I'd rather have a purple name...

Green looks so much better on the mobasite coloring IMO. the colors in the background are too dark to make purple look good, that is just my opinion xD.

Like I have mentioned above, so many people contribute to this website and it doesn't have to be someone with a colored name to do it that makes the statement/argument valid. I find that a lot of people suck up to people with colors (no offense to people who do it, but it annoys me inside of me). I've always been realistic and I have openly raged at people that I don't like and I show it. And that includes people that are color-named.

IMO, Veterans are/were regular members who have been faithful to Mobafire and are H-U-M-B-L-E about their status. Veterans, in no way, grants you super powers and make you feel OP (green is my favorite color so it does look great though). I feel that too many regular members are too pressured and are too much in a hurry to get rep'd up that we forget the fundamentals of Mobafire; being there for the people instead of being there for your own promotion.

With that said, I know a lot of people will get mad at me but take a quick look at reality. Some people have 100K posts within a month. You being to ask yourself: what for?

Let's have a quick statistic: more posts = more chances to get rep'd up as your posts are being read by most members.

What we need to ask is: what for? Why is it so important?

Edit: OP, I am talking to you. This thread is unnecessary and brings too much e-peen, attention ***** status, and uselessness.

^ I agree.

Also, Keondre, I think it's funny you say that you also don't understand why people want ranks so badly, because imho you're part of the group of people that are too eager to be promoted.
I can remember several posts from you saying "only 10 rep away from Editor", "so close to Scout now!" and even "I'm hoping to become Veteran before August" (though to be fair I don't think you were the one who started that).

Why do you care? You like the community, right? So, just be part of it, be helpful and you'll get there eventually :)

I am sure eager. I just want to be a Vet so I know that there is nothing after that :P Alba said Vet before august so I am trying to meet that goal. Not sure if it'll come true though.
