Bump Buttons are for thread owners who want their thread on the top without having to type in a new message saying "bump". Now, MOBAfire isn't the busiest forum in the world, but once you get to page 2, you basically have to bump your thread, since most forumers tend only to read page 1 (kudos to those who also read page 2/3!)

So my suggestion would be to add a bump button, which works like this:

- Only the thread owner can see this button; it's located in the first post, next to the edit button.
- When the thread owner clicks it, the thread will jump back to the top of page one.
- It can only be clicked once every 30 minutes (to avoid abuse).

So, is this a good idea? :)

I don't think there's so much threads per day that we would need this. In most cases you can see like one week old topics still on page one.

Have you seen a feature like this on other forums? Just wondering how it works in practice for others.

Yes, in fact I've seen it, but on much busier forums, like the Runescape forums (used to play that alot before). If you want to know how it works, head over to this Runescape Wiki Page here. (url: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/RuneScape_Forums#Threads)

Under the section "threads", bumping is described as a sort of "link" that can be used by thread owners every 10 minutes.
