The thing with ToG is that we know that the best parts have yet to come. I just hope that the climax of the story isn't when Baam meets Lahel.
On the other hand, the main character is now supposed to be wangnan, so I wonder how that will play out.

Just finished Clannad: Afterstory. Parts of it were amazing, while other parts weren't. From reviews I've read, I sorta expected more, though I expected more from Clannad as well.

Monster is probably the best anime I've ever watched. The writer is a genius. I have not come across an anime that tells its story in such an amazing and intricate way. Every episode is engaging, and the story is the best I've seen. The characters go through development, the music is beautiful and fits every scene, there is no fanservice for once (thank god), and the villain cannot be beat by any other villain. Johan is possibly the best villain ever to be put into an anime. The suspense is amazing, and shocks the viewer because of some of the more gruesome scenes. There aren't any kiddie "cute" moments in the show like in many other anime out there, and it's just an amazing experience. And even though the show has some small fillers, it still manages to connect with the main story significantly. The portrayal of Germany during the 90's and before is done very well, too. It's a psychological thrill ride and simply the best anime out there. It's a psychological/thriller seinen type of manga.

If you never watched Monster, go watch it. It is a masterpiece.

I give it a 10/10

+rep me and you'll get good karma, wich means you won't be reincarnated into a rock! Isn't that awesome?

But yes this idea has been discussed more than Pam Anderson's tits in a plastic surgeons office.

Never saw a page of manga in my life and never really got hooked on anime; can't tell why. A friend of mine recently showed me Trigun, so far I really like it.

Well, I recommend watching both Phantom of Inferno (also called Phantom: Requiem For The Phantom) and Monster. Both are rather short anime (compared to mainstreams one like Naruto and One Piece). Phantom's about 25 episodes and Monster's about 75. Both are extremely good and worth watching. Both are must watch IMO.

You can find them both on this anime site It's the one I personally use.
