A friend of mine really likes The Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2. You could also check those out, if you're looking for a humorous point-and-click.

My posts may be long. If this bothers you, don't read them.

Everytime i go into this thread and see people talking about "classic"-games makes me realise how old i have gotten :/

^this.

Ace Attorney a classic game? really? it's not even 10 years old... come on, we got to go deeper :o

What do you think about games like the old Fallout parts or the whole X-Com series (not the recent remake)?

There are currently remakes of those on Steam. The remakes are really good, the games themselves suffer from being very outdated however.

There are waaaay to many instances of the game requiring an overly complicated or just dumb solution that is incredibly contrived. A lot of point and click games have that problem, even today.
My favorite point and click games are easily Machinarium and Botanicula. Machinarium is an amazing game that doesn't suffer the normal shortcommings of point and click games. I haven't finished Botanicula yet, but what I've played of it was really good.

Well I do agree that maybe it's a little new and not a classic yet, but the first game did come out in Japan in 2001 on the gameboy advance making the first game a little over 10 years old. as far as the old fallout parts and X-com series, I unfortunately never played em. :(
Full Throttle was a decent adventure game.
I'm just an adventure game buff

- All Monkey Island entries (4 was different, but still loved it!)
- The Dig (Old LucasArts point and click, but lot's of fun and very unique)
- Grim Fandango

The Dig is available on Steam if anyone is interested, and the newest Monkey Island episodic games are as well :)

The art of point and click adventure games with witty dialogue is lost...unless anyone knows something I don't!
