How does it work with DOT abilities?
Like does the effect proc with every tick of poison?
And is the passive instantaneous or does it take effect after one second?
I always build Liandry's first on Cassi but I don't know how big of a difference it makes since I'm hardly capable enough to realize how much damage it puts out.

before the patch thats going up now, dots and aoes were only giving half the effect.
aoes reasoning is easier because it was affecting multiple enemies simultaneously.
as for the dot, every time the enemy took damage it would refresh.
for cassi, her q lasts for 3 seconds, meaning that each second the 1.5 second duration of liandrys would refresh. basically it was burning for the entirety of her qs duration plus 1.5 seconds.
with the updated liandrys, the damage is going up slightly (6% over 3 seconds instead of 5%), and dots/aoes are no longer penalized.
so, just hitting an enemy with your q would cause your q to deal its damage, plus having a burn from liandrys for 6 seconds, meaning 12% of the enemies current health (basically, as the damage per tick would slowly decrease as the enemy had less current health.)

BFT is pretty horrible in comparison to liandry's torment because of the percents but it is an overall nice late game item (3950 stats, gives extra stats like cdr) but Bft is still essential on every single ap champ in twisted treeline.
Liandry's should be a late game core for most ap champions if not all in my opinion.

Fixed damage effect not being properly reapplied on targets that already have it
so yeah, with the removal of the reduction to dots, im thinking its definitely going to be core on brand now. his passive is gonna deal 8% of the enemy max health plus 14% of the enemy current (because it'll burn for the entire 4 seconds of blaze plus 3 seconds after.)
