And then suddenly, these players who only know Rengar or Kha'Zix or Caitlyn suddenly jump into ranked, and when they don't get the role they usually get by instalocking in normals, they rage, troll, or feed. Reason 2: They don't understand the meta at all. Ask any low elo player what the meta is. They'll simply say "Tank Top, AP Mid, AD and Support bot, Jungler." Then, ask them why it is. They'll say "Because [insert streamer here] or [insert pro player/team here] does it." NO understanding whatsoever. It's like asking someone who doesn't know how to play Chess, but commonly watches his brother play, to play Chess. It LOOKS like he knows what he's doing, but when the situations where actual understanding of the game occur, he's not going to know what to do. You're going to see a lot of times when the enemy AD and Support get killed, and you team doesn't do dragon. You're going to see Dragon unwarded for the first 15 minutes, so anyone who can solo it early like Fidd or Warwick will give his team 950g. Even worse, they DON'T get it even though it's warded! Why? [b]Because they don't understand the meta or how to play the game.[/b] Reason 3: Because they don't understand the meta, anything unconventional throws them off. Which is why picking whatever the fuck you feel like, as long as you know what you're doing aka you know how to play the champion, will let you win more than blindly following the meta you know nothing about. Pantheon Jarvan bot? Expect 10 kills in 10 minutes, because they don't know how to DEAL with a short ranged targetted stun as a squishy ranged carry. If they were top as Yorick, yeah they know how, because it's top lane and it's Yorick, who's commonly seen at top lane. But this Pantheon is at bot, there's no way you can deal with him! /sarcasm. And I didn't mean to NOT play Supports, that was my bad. I meant it's a bad idea to MAIN supports because 99% of the ADCs down there, combined with the fact that everyone down there has the mentality that they should always dive the enemy AD no matter what, means that as a support it's going to be extremely difficult to win because you'll have to peel 5 people off your AD that doesn't know what orbwalking is.[/quote]
