An idea to beat the current meta.

AP Top
AD Carry mid (with good escapes/pushing ability)
Jungle Tank
Bruiser/anti-carry + Support bot or passive farm bot

AP Carry gets solo lane experience AND farm, and can take Teleport for mobility. Can usually beat bruisers at top, and is kind of already done ( Vladimir, Kennen, Swain, etc).

AD Carry mid gets the solo lane farm, and even more if they choose to farm wraiths, reaching their big items earlier. Also, mid is the hardest lane to gank, so why not? This would also favor AD Carries with stronger early games like Caitlyn or Miss Fortune.

Jungler has to be tanky because you need some tankiness somewhere :P

A lot of bruisers do a ton of damage early game, like Renekton, or has ways to deal with the enemy AD Carry. Paired with an aggressive support like Taric or Leona you can easily force squishies out of lane. I got this idea from my friends playing a Nasus/ Soraka bot, where I assumed the Nasus would spam Wither on the enemy ad carry. Anti-carries could also kill the carries quickly and denying them lots of farm. The support can sustain or help kill the other carry or support.

Thoughts on how this will or won't work? Because this sounds pretty good to me. Of course some champions will fall in/out of favor.

Mid lane AD carry vs an enemy AP carry might be tough.

Putting a bruiser in bot lane with a support is definitely good, think of Jarvan IV - Leona for example.

GMD has also talked about Irelia bot but I have yet to try it out in a game with him.

Well cait already goes mid on occasion so It's not too much of a stretch. The only real difference is the bruiser bot instead of another AD carry.

Yeah, but I've noticed that a lot of AD Carries are capable of holding a solo lane and beating AP Carries.

Caitlyn is one, definitely.

Ezreal is really stronk too, and he has a built in blink.

GMD has a guide on Varus mid as well.

So it's definitely not impossible.

If you put Tristana mid, she'd probably go AP.

I like the idea, the only problem is that if both bottom lane champions are melee, there's a serious risk of them being zoned by the enemy AD carry, especially if it's someone like Caitlyn.

Yup, though we usually combined that with Cassiopeia - Soraka bot 8D

That used to happen alot around when I started Lol. I still see Sivir's go mid because her spellshield is boss there.

It could work but the selection of ad carrys viable in mid is very limited. For instance, three days ago they sent a Vayne mid against me when i was playing Swain. She survived. Barely. But at the 10 minute mark i still had all 3 of my health pots. And i had half again as much CS as she did. So i won the lane, even though her tumble kept her safe from my snares.
