Hi, I just bought Blitz and I really would like to have him as a counterpick on the toplane, the question is, who does he counter? I have no idea and I hope you guys can help! :)

I think what Duff is trying to say is that he counters no one and is a poor choice for a top laner.
He makes a decent support though. You can always play him top if you want, but don't expect it to be optimal.  Thanks to Xiaowiriamu for the sig! |

He CAN be played top, hes just better bot as he has a follow up to the pull. His top lane is weaker then most others to as he relies on being able to land a pull as his "Gap closer". His shield as a heal bait is the only really strong mechanic I can see, but if I would want to heal bait with a skill I would take like
 Renekton or  Nasus. That being said, he can do Ok if you are in a premade, and you have someone camping your lane so you can hold them down with CC.

But I really think that I'm in the Twilight zone. If you play him top, I would start with Philo/Hog and then build full defensive items for a while. Glacial shroud vrs Phys. HexDrinker vrs AP. Then pick up a sheen and finish off Frozen Heart and Trinity Force. Pick up a Maw of Malmortius and your Q is gonna hit really hard and your survivability will be really high with your double troll shields.

yeah duff basically has it down.
on the rare event that a blitzcrank would be able to hook the enemy champ, blitz really can't punish the enemy champ unless the jungler is right there. if youre interested in playing a champ like blitzcrank who'd be viable solotop, you should save up points for nidalee or garen. nidalee has excellent piking capabilites, mobility, sustain, and damage. garen has good mobility, damage, and self sustain. both have very diverse builds - theres no one way to build either. Actually with armor vrs phys champs and mr vrs mgc dmg champs, at level 6 blitz can 1v1 almost anything, it's pretty insane actually.
Getting to 6 and farming up enough resistances is the problem.
