Your health doesn't need to be at an insane level when you're decently tanky, have a significant health bonus already, and basically cheat death all the time with your pool and your healing/SV.
Warmog's is just very cost inefficient, especially with the nerf to Vlad's scaling on his health->AP. |

Now after the HP-to-AP nerf (mentioned by Jebus) and also making Zhonia ring into 2 separate items you simply dont have the place for it.
It was mainly used to bump your +health stat to increase the damage from pool (since the bonus hp from AP is not calculated by it) but now you simply dont have place for it. You could get it if you would not go for WotA but tbh that would be one of the worst ideas you could get. |

Thanks for the responses. Yeah, I would never want to replace the spell vamp item. I also wasn't thinking very well with that build as you want to have either a rylai for some slows and probably a void staff to get enough penetration.

My build usualy goes:
Sorc boots->WotA->Rylai->Rabadon->Zhonia->Abyssal (sometimes i take scepter before zhonia depends on the enemy team setup and feeding) |
|
|
My vlad item build is
WotA - Sor. Shoes - Rabbadon - Rylai - Void Staff/Abyssal scepter - Warmog. Warmog gives a total of 1350 HP which gives 33.75 AP, but can be replaced by a magic pen item. Amumu Guide :D
Eve guide :D Hope whatever I say helps! :D PS : Not all my criticism is good. Most of the time, I just talk like that anyway. So forgive me if you get offended, unless you just can't look from my angle, or at least close enough. |

Gogo Tank Vlad?
Warmogs, Mercs, Sunfire, Randuin's, WOTA, FoN? "I just don't trust PUGS no matter who they play as. I look at them and think level 1." -Rudmed

Don't buy warmogs as Vladimir, it just doesn't scale, you;d be better off buying a different defensive item such as banshee's or even GA if your finding yourself dying so much

In my opinion warmog to vladimir is a big waste of gold and inventory space. It is quite expsensive and it gives you stats that especially this moment are not so good,so they can replace your rylai's or your WotA or generally any of your items.A very good combination of items on vlad are:
1) WotA 2)sorc/cdr boots 3)rabadons( so you will have a great boost in your health and ap) 4,5) rylai's/void staff ( if you have problems woth your enemies beacuse they build too much mr buy void staff first or then buy rylai's first) 6)this item is completely up to you.If you need more ap and a good armor boost buy zhonya's,if the enemy team has a lot of cc and they taregt you first very often buy sash etc etc. |

Still rush CDR boots and a revolver, then purchase your death hat. And then build warmogs? This will cause your health to surge upwards and you can farm up the items bonus fairly fast (esp if you get kills).
Final Build something like : CDR boots, Will of Ancients(late game when you can afford to upgrade it), Death Hat, Warmogs, Abyssal, Zhonya.
Yes I know you stack ap to get health because the AP is a ton more efficient, however, it never quite pushes your health to an obscene level by itself.
