i run mr glyphs on pretty much every mid i play
would only consider not taking them on highrange/pokechampions as addition to mr glyphs i like to use ms quints on alot of champions for the mobility i need to counterjungle/gank sidelanes greez sam |

depends on enemy mid/jungle burst potential to tune it to prevent instant kills on you
it is mandatory against champions like annie/TF/cassio. I would add kennen and veigar to that list too. |

 Negatron Cloak, why? Because I want MR while keeping my damage up, and chances are I'm building either Banshee veil or  Abyssal Scepter.

I thought MR glyphs on mid were pretty basic?
Even after the nerf and buff on ap runes, I still think MR runepages work better in most cases. Mordekaiser mid with ms quints, full mr runes 21/9 (points in MR) and magic mantle start? HUEHUEHUE The only thing with that is his damage is pretty tame for a few levels, but he doesn't really start to reach his potential until a later level anyways. Better to stay alive and farm then to try and trade at level one. I run the same rune page on Katarina, and quite often on other champs, it all just depends on who my mid opponent is really to determine what runepage I'll use.. But I think all my ap mid pages have at least some MR on them. I'm still testing all this, but yea.

Froggen used MR glyphs and marks, crushed reginald and made him change all his rune pages.
thats just pros, but having a lot of early mr if anything will make them not want to harrass you. HELP NOOB OUT.

It's like
 Mercury's Treads vs  Sorcerer's Shoes. 20 mpen vs 24 mres. There's that 4 bonus. But now you have to consider. Since you're a caster, you'd want increased damage as a carry. Damage is important. Now we have to look at survivability because without it, you'll just die instantly or become a fragile glass cannon.Basically, if you take Mres, any magic damage dealt to you will be lowered. However, if you take Mpen/AP, any damage YOU deal with your spells will be increased. That's how you'll want to look at things.
