Jungle would allow him to "abuse" his passive as a ganker, sure he could use it top effectively, but it feels more optimal as a gank tool IMO.
Toplane might be a "safer" option because of the easy available farm...But to be honest, his base damages are solid and his scaling isn't too bad so putting him in the jungle where he is likely to earn less initial income wouldn't affect him much. Boots+Wriggles (or Doran's) and an early Phage would be easily attainable.

Jungle, I go Wraiths > Red > Golems > Wraiths > Gank > OTHER JUNGLE MONSTERS, with boots 3 pots.
If you get a decent leash it's pretty good. But is it weird I skill W @ level 1? I find it more beneficial because of the AOE damage and resistances.. Build... Been trying out many. You can build him tons of ways. Top lane is OP. Oh, and when you have 4 ferocity, use a skill, gain one more, it refreshes the cool-downs, use it again, and I'm pretty sure it refreshes a third time.

i think he can jungle starting W, maybe. probably decent in protecting himself from counterjungling. however, i think he'll do a decent job toplane. |

You can go FM or Tri Force, either works. The MS bonus from his item+Tri force makes him hard to get rid of. Just build him as you would Irelia. He's strong even without items, so you can build high durability.

Played him first time, here's what I made.
JungleSkills: Q-W-E-Q-Q-R-W-Q-E-Q-R-W-E-W-E-R-E-E Masteries: 21/9/0 Runes: Gold/10 +3.0 (Quints only) Alt: Attack Speed % +10% Armor Pen +15 (Marks only) Armor +13 (Seals only) Alt: Attack Speed % +6.9% Cooldown Reduction +5.24% (Glyphs only) Alt: Magic Resist +12 Items: Boots 3 HP Pots (alt: Armor 5 HP Pots), Jungle Path: Wolves, Wraiths, Red, -Gank Mid/Bot Lane-, Golems, Wraiths, Wolves, Blue, -Gank Top/Mid Lane-, B This is how I started with a decent leash from Mid and Bot. Mid Damages Wolves and Wraiths, Bot hit Red once then went to lane. Used 2 pots and had one for a mid gank. If balzy could start |

Well he could do great at top lane and jungle. His W gives him the sustain most people lack up top and it also gives him aoe damage for the jungle. His passive is better ''abused'' jungling when you're ganking. His E is also a soft CC (slow) unless you come out of the jungle at full ferocity (probably should) you can root someone for 1 second and combined with hopefully your team member's CC, it'd be really easy. His Q's damage is crazy, like Udyr's Tiger Stance. His R let's him go invisible and just jump on the AD or AP carry in team fights but you'd need tankiness.
His Q will probably be nerfed soon in my opinion and maybe his E will get a lil stronger slow. He'd be a decent solo top due to his high damage with Q, Sustain with W and the ability to set up a nice/great gank (If he has 5 ferocity or not). Something that would work if melee still went bot: His jump when he's in the bushes is more than people like Just my 2 cents, theorizing about new champs will make people try different items so when we get good guides, they'll be flexible and not a bunch of lies and ****. (excuse the language) Sincerely, JungleKing If my comment helped you or lol, Check out my new guide, Evelynn,The reworked killer. I will also review your guide, Just send me a PM and I'll get right on it.

Just thinking about his passive makes him a toplane nightmare.
