Hello, my name is swain and ppl think my hardest counter is ignite, silly people.
On a related note. Does zhonya's temporarily remove ignite/exhaust debuff?

Swain Swain, he has been strong sense release. Ignite? I'm more afraid of the new morellos, but never had played against it yet.
Elementz got a point, but ins't right everywhere. But he got Swain in the last set of Tier 1 on the competitive ap carry tier list. He is only tier 3 on the solo que side, as he can't carry a whole time just as well as other according to his opinion. Notice this my self vs a fed Vayne... Anyway if you like Swain, play him, that simple. |

Quicksilver Sash, even multiple instances if you need to get those debuffs to healing off.

Swain has always been good, imo, and the buff made him sexier.
Ignite doesn't counter you. Sure, it reduces your healing, but the damage is still there (and you can zhonya's for half the healing but to avoid being overwhelmed by damage during that reduced healing state). Exhaust is a lot more dangerous, since it reduces your damage, which will in turn reduce how much health you recover. I do agree that a fed Swain is still more team dependant than many other bursters/high mobility AP's. It's part of the reason why I pretty much stopped playing him in solo queue tbh.

Scarra puts Swain in his tier 2 ap mids so yes hes pretty strong and funny to play

I wonder, maybe MS quints would be a strong choice on Swain? I see on eof his weaknesses as his relatively low ms with no escapes, so I could see MS quints working on him like they do on ryze. Also, this would allow you to get off a few extra AA's after landing e in lane for some big harass. However, maybe he needs the AP quints, since I think I would typically build him more tanky than glass cannon - say RoA, abyssal, frozen heart, THEN deathcap - or something like that.
What do you think, AP quints or ms quints? |

What do you think, AP quints or ms quints? I do 2 MS, 1 AP as Quints. RoA is vital on him, but I'm not sure about the rest of your item order, might work. I think Swain benefits more from Zhonya's than Frozen Heart. Remember: damage = heal on him

I understand that he was buffed a little bit fairly recently. My question is, what is his current state? I notice he is tier 3 in Elementz tier list, whatever that is worth. Is he too easily countered by ignite to be able to play, since so many champs seem to take ignite these days? Love to hear your opinions, thanks!
