Malph is better in the jungle imo, those turret dives out of nowhere are ****ing OP.
But to answer your question, I'm not sure you understand why  Malphite is a great top.He's good up there because most bruisers primarily build AD, which is countered by Armor, which he gets empowered off of. Not only that,  Ground Slam heavily reduces attack speed, making champions like  Jax,  Irelia, and  Tryndamere lose about half their damage.I don't really see  Trundle as a potential counter, as he's just going to be up there and they'll both be farming. Malphite will win all trades because of the attack speed debuff and kite the **** out of Trundle with Q though, and  Contaminate actually speeds up Malphite even more and doesn't reduce his knockup duration.Shredding Malph's resistances are a good idea though, buuuuuuut it's going to be the same as shredding any other tank. I'd stick to AP tops to countering rumble, as Asian said you can cut through his resists, but even with trundle's q resetting your auto attack you will still lose trades, once malphite gets a philostone your sustains will be around the same simply because he can out trade you.

Might just be me, but I've never seen a
Trundle Top, only Jungle. But if the only issue with Trundle fighting Malphite is that with Trundle's  Rabid Bite only takes away the enemy's attack damage, where as Malphite's damage output is through how much Armor he is stacking. Maybe when Trundle has a  The Black Cleaver can he trade better with Malphite, but that's somewhere far down the road.

here's a good counter, ban his rocky ***. Problem solved. Shen might be good vs him, haven't tried out shen vs malphite yet, but shen will just farm farm farm not giving a dam about malphits pokes. If malph builds armor, well thats good for shen as his q and ki-strike harass will be much more powerful.

Trundle is a tank breaker, for sure, but trying to counter Malphite with Trundle to me sounds like he already won. If you have to pick Trundle top, you're already hurtin.

Rumble and Olaf are way powerful enough to deal with Malphite.
You can take some Cho or Trundle to make the lane become a farm fest if you want, however it's better to kill Malph with a Rumble/Olaf. English is not my native langage, I'm sorry about how painful to read my text are :c

But one idea i've had was to put trundle up top against him. Havent tested it out, but basically, trundle just takes away malphite's tankiness. What are your thoughts? Anyone have experience with this? And any general thoughts about trundle as a champion are appreciated, i just got 4800 ip and thinking of buying
