I don't actually play AD Carries extensively, so I don't have actual estimates.

Also, the 'super nuke' isn't as high as you'd think.

Taking Corki as an example, let's say he has 2 Doran's Blades at level 9 (his only health items).

He has 375 + 82(9) health at level 9, which is 1113 Health.

Taking Resists out of the equation, Blighted Quiver would take out 15% of it from the bonus damage portion. .15 * 1113 = 166.95, or 167 Bonus magic damage, with 26 * 3 = 78 damage from procs. This translates to about 245 total bonus magic damage.

Piercing Arrow will do 65 + 160% of your total AD at full charge, 43 + 100% just firing it. At level 9, let's say you have 2x Doran's Blades, Boots of Speed, and a B. F. Sword, roughly 3000 gold.

Varus has 46 + 27 = 73 AD at level 9. With the above items, you will have 73 + 20 + 45 = 138 AD.

Over those 3 attacks and the bonus proc, you will do 245 + 138 + 43 = 426 total damage, up to 509 damage with a fully charged Q (rounded up).

What if we take Piercing Arrow first?

Taking into consideration the same items against the same Corki, you would do 6% of his health + 14 * 3 magic damage, which comes to about 109 magic damage.

Piercing Arrow will do 143 + 100% of AD, which is 143 + 138 = 281 damage, up to 215 + 160% of AD, which is 215 + 221 = 436 damage.

So if you use the Q to JUST proc 3 stacks on W...
You do 426 Damage with Blighted Quiver first as opposed to 390 with Piercing Arrow first.

But if you use the fully charged Q, you're comparing
436 + 109 = 545 damage with Piercing Arrow first, as compared to 509 with Blighted Quiver first.

You don't even consider the high cool down on Piercing Arrow, or the fact that you can trigger 3x Blighted Quiver full stacks in a successful combo, which ain't that hard to pull off when you got Chain of Corruption..

Or the fact that it increases your auto attack damage, and that you can trigger 3x Blight stacks 3 times, because of your 3 other abilities.

Another thing is, Arrow can miss, Blight can't.

@Slappiz
I just did the math for the basic combo thing :P

Blighted Quiver first would give more overall dps over a longer timeframe, but Piercing Arrow will give slightly more burst, I think.

But considering the lowered cooldown of Q every level, it might actually give more harass because you can proc Blight every ~8 seconds as opposed to 18 seconds (optimally speaking).

@Jpikachu
I actually did. It's not auto-attack damage either, it's on-hit like Wit's End.

@NicknameMy
Arrow can hit stuff from 1500 range, Auto-attacks can't ;D

But I've found out unlike Caitlyn's Q that has a 1 second delay, Piercing Arrow is much more difficult to avoid up close because it's instantly fired, and you aren't limited to a certain angle after casting it. It's really deceptive -.-

True, but it shouldn't really matter.
If you triggered 3 full stacks of blight perfectly, there should be no more health on their carry... otherwise something's wrong ^^

I see Keondre is now an editor :<

Soraka and Alistar are the second best laning partners for Varus. The best is Janna. She sees him charging an arrow, why not do an extra 56 damage? Shield him with a perfect tornado = perfect shot and massive damage.

Knocking enemies INTO Varus's ultimate, etc.

Thanks to Xiron and ProAsylum (Ignition) for the amazing signatures!
If I helped out with constructive criticsm, I would appreciate a +rep

I prefer a harder burst poke to sustained damage when I'm in lanes.

If you think you are going to be doing sustained dps instead, then build accordingly.
