Overview

The tournament is for 32 teams but we will keep registration open and if we reach 64 teams we will increase the field accordingly (and so on). All rounds will be played best of 3 matches, single elimination. The winner of the tournament gets to pit thier skills again CLG in the bonus round for another great prize!

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this tournament you must be a registered member of MOBAFire with a League of Legends NA account. Players must have a valid address (no PO Box) in the US or Canada.

Game Rules

Game Type: Custom Match | Draft Mode

Team Size: 5v5

Mirror picks: Not Allowed.

Bans: 6 (3 per team) 1-2-2-1-1-2*

Picks: 1-2-2-1-1-2-2-1-1-2*

Champions & Items: All champions and items ARE permitted.

Winning Condition: Best of 3.

Bonus Round: Win the tournament and play vs CLG for the bonus prize. This round is best of 3.

You will be given from 9am Tuesday to 11:59pm Sunday to complete and report each round.

Note: 1 and 2 refer to which team has first pick/ban, not the number of bans/picks. Whoever has first pick/ban is considered "1". If team 1 has first pick then this means "Team 1 picks, Team 2 picks, Team 2 picks again, Team 1, Team 1 again, Team 2".

Team Requirements:

Each team must have a unique name.

Each team must have 5 players all level 30 on North American servers.

Every player's ELO must be accurately reported by Team captains during registration. Misrepresentation of any single player's ELO will results in expulsion and loss of any or all prizes.

All team members must accept the tournament invitation before the registration cutoff deadline is reached, or your team will be disqualified. Captains automatically accept when they register the team.

All players and the team must be registered on MOBAFire.com to participate.

All players must have a valid paypal account to recieve cash prizes. Players are responsible for all paypal fees.

Each team may have one reserve player on the bench. This is not mandatory but no substitutions may be made after registration closes other than the named reserve player. Team captains are responsible for notifying admins via PM of your reserve player if your team has one.

Substitution for the reserve player can only be made prior to starting a match and must be announced. Only 5 players are eligable for prizes.

Team Captains are obligated to take screenshots and report match results within 1 hour of completing the match. If results are not submitted in a timely manner your team will be disqualified.

Scheduling:

Each round lasts 1 week.

Opponents are announced on Tuesdays. Team captains should contact each other to schedule match times. Matches with no agreed match time by Midnight PST on Fridays, will have a scheduled match time of 12:00pm (noon) PST Saturday. All 3 matches must be played in succession if not otherwise scheduled.

All matches must be complete and reported by 11:59PM PST on Sunday.

Incomplete matches will result in a draw which will be settled by MOBAFire staff flipping a coin to decide a winner.

You must complete your match and report the results before the end time, or your team may not be able to advance to the next round. If you were unable to post results on time due to actions of your opponent, report the actions promptly.

Matches:

Both teams must have all (5) players in Custom game lobby within 15 minutes of arranged time or the first game is forfeit. If the a team is 30 minutes late the entire match is forfeit.

Any team without 5 players will be disqualified if the opposing team posts a forfeit win.

Before champion picks Team captains have to decide on banned champions (1-2-2-1-1-2).

After banning teams decide on their champion picks (1-2-2-1-1-2-2-1-1-2).

Swapping champions with teammates is allowed AFTER all picks.

We recommend that the captains speak on behalf of the teams to keep it simple. We also highly recommend you do this on MOBAFire.com or you take screenshots of each stage of the process in the event of a dispute later on.

Match length is limited to 2 hours, at which point the team with the most kills wins.

Surrender is allowed after 20 minutes.

Match results must be screenshoted and posted in the appropriate forum topic after every match*.

Post Match:

When you have completed a match, return to the tournament page and click the "Report Win" or "Report Loss" buttons. Any disputes will be settled by screeshots of the in-game match results screen. We ask that everyone also report their match results in the forum using the following format:

Screenshots: Post results screenshot, this will help ensure quick resolution of any disputes.

Forfeits, Disqualifications, Disputes:

If you have any concerns or claims against an opponent you must raise them immediately by PMing the admins, Matt or FlashJ.

Any disputes must be submitted with evidence to the Admins as soon as possible. If no evidence is provided, we cannot act on a claim.

Any player or team found to be breaking the rules set out above (including eligibility requirements) may be disqualified from this tournament and/or banned from taking part in any future tournaments. Prizes may also be revoked.

MOBAFire reserves the right to refuse entry to any tournament to any individual(s) for any reason or to alter the tournament in any way at our sole discretion.

Results screenshots must be complete shots of the entire in-game results screen including chat area. No partial screenshots will be accepted. Screenshots must not be modified in any way and must be clear of any visual artifacts, including those caused from high levels of compression. Any questionable obstruction will be disregarded immediately, any tampering will be dealt with severely.

By joining the tournament you allow posting of score screen shots containing your in-game summoner name and post-match statistics.

In order to register and compete, all teammates must:

Live in a time zone between GMT-8 and GMT-5 for NA tournaments or GMT+0 and GMT+3 for EU tournaments. If you are not inside those time zones you must cater to match times that make sense for your opponent, and if you are unable to then you may be forced to forfeit.
Have a level 30 account in good standing on the appropriate server (NA, EU West or EU East).
Have a MOBAFire.com account in good standing.
Not be a member or named substitute on any other team in the same tournament.
Enter the in-game name and server of the LoL account they will be competing with in their MOBAFire.com profile.
Make a reasonable effort to schedule and complete matches in a timely manner.
Have a schedule that is flexible enough to easily fit in your matches throughout the tournament - if you can't make it, don't join. Continued no-shows may result in disallowing future tournament registrations.
Act appropriately and fairly throughout the tournament.
Make their best effort to be in-game 15 minutes before your agreed upon match time.
Agree in full to bans and picks before the match and follow through.

Seeding

Seeding will be based on player reported ELO.
Each player must accurately report their ELO to their captain. Use your highest ELO at the time of registration.
Regular ELO fluctuation is expected.
Intentionally falsifying ELO may result in expulsion from the tournament and/or forfeit of all prizes.

Substitutions

You may designate one substitute player for your team before registration closes.
If you cannot complete a match without subbing more than one player, you must forfeit.
Allowing someone else to play using your account is grounds for disqualification and possible ban from future tournaments.
If you need to use your sub, you must inform the opposing team right away and they have a right to redo bans and picks if they wish.
The substitute player must not be competing in the tournament on a different team.
The substitute player must not be named as a substitute for another team in the same tournament.
Trying to sub in anyone other than this named player will result in disqualification and penalty.
Trying to abuse this system to bring in a ringer, enter twice in the same tournament or otherwise break the above rules will result in disqualification and penalty.

Pre-Match

Please use the comment feed on the match page to arrange bans, picks and timing with the opposing team. This is the safest way to ensure proper resolution of disputes later on.
If you are bringing in your substitute, make your best effort to notify the opposing team before arranging bans and picks, otherwise you may have to do it over.
When discussing times for your matches be very clear about which time zone you are referring to in order to avoid disputes later. For NA tournaments we recommend using PST (GMT-8) as that is the MOBAFire.com time. For EU tournaments we recommend using GMT+0. Be especially clear during daylight savings time.
If your opponent does not follow the agreed upon picks, bans or schedule be sure to take screenshots as evidence and let the admins know right away.

Post-Match

Return to the match page and click the button to report your win or loss.
Post on the match page comment section the details of your match. Who won, who lost, what time the match took place, screenshot of the post-game summary screen and any other information you feel like sharing about the match.
You may also send a PM to the admins (Matt and FlashJ) notifying them of your win. This will ensure the roster gets updated as quickly as possible.
Bring any disputes or concerns directly to the admins (Matt and FlashJ) IMMEDIATELY after the match to ensure that things get resolved before the round ends.
Be sure to provide any and all evidence in the event of a dispute. More evidence and details on what happened will ensure things get settled fairly.

Prizes

Prizes are to be distributed evenly amongst all team members that competed.
Where possible admins will distribute prizes directly to the team members.
If the admins are unable to distribute certain prizes the captain may be asked to distribute them instead.
Only the primary team members will receive prizes. Substitute players will not, unless the team decides to reward them without MOBAFire.com's involvement.
In distributing the prizes, the email address connected to the player's MOBAFire.com account will be used to contact winners and the LoL nickname/server provided in the player's MOBAFire.com profile will be used to distribute in-game prizes. Be sure this information is accurate.
Prizes cannot be substituted or cashed in in any way, they are presented as is.
If you cannot legally or logistically accept a prize due to region, age or any other factor, your prize is forfeit and will be dealt with at the discretion of the admins.

No-shows and Other Disputes

If your team does not show up in full within 15 minutes of a pre-arranged match you must forfeit the first game, giving your opponent a leg up in the best of 3. You can not compete as a partial team.
If your team does not show up in full within 30 minutes of a pre-arranged match it is considered a no-show and you must forfeit the game, resulting in your elimination from the tournament. You can not compete as a partial team.
In the event of a server outage, either on Riot's end or on MOBAFire's end, the round may be extended at the discretion of the admins to give everyone time to reschedule matches.
Time extensions do not apply to teams that agreed on a match time and did not show up, unless the no-show was a result of the server outage. If you do not show up in full force, you forfeit and cannot reschedule.
If you were unable to schedule a match due to schedule conflicts and were ready to forfeit or coin flip, but then an extension got added, you may still try again to schedule the match in the expanded time.
In the event of a no-show by your opponent, or any other dispute, please take screenshots and provide as much evidence as possible to ensure your dispute is handled swiftly and fairly.
Immediately report all disputes to both admins over PM (Matt and FlashJ) for the fastest resolution.
Do not get into fights with the opposing team. If tempers are flaring then please take a step back and allow the admins to handle it.
If there is not enough evidence to sway the decision either way, the round may be settled by a coin flip, which will be performed by the admins as a neutral party.
If the admins discover any foul play from either team, you will be disqualified and may additionally be banned from future tournaments.
Please try not to discuss your dispute outside of the match page or the MOBAFire.com PM system, otherwise evidence may not be considered in the admin's ruling.
